Abruptly hangs up on me.
I called back to see what business name was used, rang and rang,
finally a voice came on and said "the magic jack customer you have called is unavailable, if you would like to leave a message....beep."

Asked for the previous owner of my cell phone number (I've had this number since 2004).  When told he doesn't own the number anymore he wanted to know who's number it was now.  Then he stated the number was listed at an investment firm in NY under the previous owner's name and wanted to know if I invested in stocks and bonds.

Same message I get from them every Tuesday @ 17:45 and Thursday @ 21:30... for the past five weeks... exactly same time from an automated system.

I keep getting calls from the pested and I wish it would stop. I'm on the do not call list and since i have been on it I get more and more calls.To be honest with you I think the DO NOT CALL people give out or sale your number. Please stop this bull crap and go pester yourself.Enough is enough. if i answered the phone everytime you call i wouldn't get anything done.

Although I am on the Do Not Call list, this company refused to take my number off. I blocked this number through my phone company. Now they are call using a second number in a different area code. There are numerous complaints about this company violating the DNC list. If they call you take the time to file a complaint with the FTC to get them hefty fines. Do a good deed today.

also got a call from this number (tho I too am on the do not call list). was informed by the male caller that he was calling from the Philippians wanting to talk about finance/stocks... before I hung up.

I just got a call from this number and I'm on the DO NOT CALL list.But ever number I have put into the DO NOT CALL list calls.I being to think they are a scam too.Because ever since we signed up for them we had been flooded with calls.Didn't get that many until we signed up with them. Maybe they are the ones selling our number to company just a thought.

Received calls to my cell phone from 607-241-5197, they don't speak when I answer and they don't leave a message either. Calling at all odd times, very inconvenient. I am registered on the do not call list and don't understand how they got my number , from where they got my number and why are they calling.

Someone from this number has been calling my cell phone almost once/week for a couple of months. I usually ignore it since I don't recognize the #.  They don't leave a message.  I picked up yesterday.  It was a man, he didn't identify himself.  Had the wrong name associated with my phone number.  He still tried to initiate a conversation about stock investments even though I wasn't the person he intended to call.  I told him not to call back.... we shall see. I'm sure it's a scam, I'm just not sure what they're scamming.

This number 607-241-5197 just called today and a girl with a bad accent spoke after I said 'Hello' twice. She first made it clear she wasn't trying to sell anything and then proceeded to ask if I had a stockbrocker. She said she received my number from a call list, although I'm on a DNC list. I told her that wasn't any of her information whether I have a stockbroker or invest in stocks and asked to be taken off her list. She replied 'maybe I will have my boss call you' and hung up. Wish she would show up at the front door.....

I received a call from this number, lady asked for Scott, no Scott here.  She was polite but I resent calls from people II don't know.  The woman on the phone asked me if I invest (none of her business).  I told her that I do indeed invest, I buy a lottery ticket every week but have only won one one dollar so far.  I asked her if she had some good numbers for me, she hung up!

Got a call on my cell and did not answer since I didn't know the number and was at work.  Did not leave a message!

Received a call from this do***e bag named John. This is a bogus scammer trying to obtain personal info. I have added this number as SPAM 54 to my EVER growing list of spam numbers. I have also assigned ole Johnny boy a silent ring tone. The phone rings once and the SPAM54 caller is sent to a dead voice mail box and the message is immediately deleted. So Long Johnny boy! The DO NOT CALL list does nothing to protect any of us from this crap!

Got a call 07.24.2012  8:46 PM asking if I had stocks...and I asked who it was they hung up the phone . Weird.......why were they calling??? And why about a Stock broker...?! WTF.... These people called 3 times, and are not people we have ever dealt with.

BTW, I forgot to add that the call was to my cell number which is also on the DNC list.

Found this number in my missed calls list at 5:30 EDT. Looks like they called 3 times and left no messages. When I called it back, I got this message: "607.241.5197 is not available to take your call" so I hung up. After reading the previous posts I'm sure they're a bunch of scammers, and have added their number to my reject list.

Received a call, no one said anything when I answered.  I have no business with anyone from Ithaca NY.

Got a call and didn't answer. After the recording a woman came on and said very loudly, "Hello". I called back and a recording said that the customer at that number was unavailable. I left a message, "I am on a DNC list, Please don't try to call me again."
We will see.

Had this number call me a few seconds ago. They wouldn't talk. Finally a lady's voice kept saying "HELLO?" and after the 3rd "hello?" I said "You called me, I didn't call you. Does the DO NOT CALL list mean anything to you, because it should!" and hung up.

I too have been getting calls from this nr (607)241-5197 as recently as today! One more call and I will file a FTC complaint.

Got several calls from this number, nobody is saying anything once the call is answered and the call disconnects shortly. My phone number is on do not call list and I have not listed this cell phone number with any businesses.

They call from a new york magic jack 2 or 3 times a day and will not sway anything.
