they called me this morning (New York on my call display)....told me they were calling about Windows, asked if i was at my computer, told them they got me out of bed....said there was a problem inside my computer.. (he has strong accent - hard to understand) ...I told him there is a problem inside his f...kg head, this is bs and hung up.

Caller from this number called and wanted me to go on my computer to get a refund ,[from a previous scam] that the company was closing  and for me to get a refund. He had an Indian accent,[my daughter handled the call]. She asked why he needed the computer, that he could refund through the visa or send a chegue. She quizzed him about things and he didn't seem to come up with adiquit answers.  I don't expect there is a refund cheque in the mail. What out for scammers.

I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AND MY CALLER ID SAYS NEW YORK,I HAVE RELATIVES IN NEW YORK SO I ANSWERED,OFCOURSE I MADE A MISTAKE IN ANSWERING MY PHONE.IT WAS A MAN VOICE WITH AN ACCENT,START TELLING ME,I KNOW YOU AND I LOVE YOU,SO I IMMEDIADETLY HANG UP.HOPE THE FBI OR POLICE CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE SICK PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD.NOW I KNOW IT WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN.THERE IS A LOT OF SICK B*****DS OUT THERE.PEOPLE NEEDS TO GO TO CHURCH  MORE OFTEN.

call from 607-271-9593 at 630pm wanting me to go to my computer and click on the start icon. First had a female caller then I kept asking question , she transferred me to a supervisor (ha ha) I asked him why it came up as payphone and not Microsoft and they hung up. Both seemed to have accents

Yes, they even reach alllllll the way out here. The same issue some guy wanted to hack and control my computer. Its a small island and the media here already informed us. I already called the proper authorities before, this has been the second time.

These vermin want to hack into your computer by getting you to run remote control software.  Don't let them.  Our pitiful government just keeps letting these vermin play their scam.  FUBO.

Just received a call from this number (607) 271-9593. A man with an Indian accent claimed to be calling from Microsoft because there was a report that my computer was transmitting personal data.  I knew immediately it was a scam.  Asked for his name (Thomas) and the number he was calling from, at which time he hung up.  Hopefully, he will lose my number.

Above number rang me when having dinner. The voice message just said "goodbye". As the affair appeared mysterious to me, I checked on internet the caller's number and, luckily, obtained the information reported on this page. I have received similar problems from other parts of the world, in particular India warning me of a computer problem which "they" can solve for me. From what I know, their "solution" is rather on emptying my bank account.

Next time I am going to blow a whistle inteh phone to get rid of these guys!

keep getting calls from 607-271-9593 and 501-613-0247. Just dead air.. so very annoying

They called me and it was an automated person saying my bank card had been locked and before they could finish talking I hung up and called my bank to warn them IMMEDIATLY.  I don't want others to get scammed.

LOL!  I just had the most interesting conversation with an Indian fella from this number.  I answered, and he was trying to "sell" me something about my computer.  I said (very nicely), no thank you I'm not interested...  He said, "Wait!"  I'm looking for Leonard Watson.  Now, I've been getting calls for said Leonard Watson since I activated my phone line over 3 years ago.  I said (pleasantly), you have the wrong number, no one by that name lives here.  He said, is this such and such number?  I said, yes, but no person by that name lives here.  Then, it got interesting.  He told me my number was routed to their company and that it seems my computer is showing issues.  I said, "Well, I work for a software company and am very savvy when it comes to my devices and that there are no issues whatsoever."  He insisted there was indeed something wrong and that I need to immediately "jump" on my computer to get it resolved...  He works for Microsoft, no less!  I asked (laughing), "Why would I attempt to resolve something that just isn't broken?"  Then, he asked me what OS I was using and how many devices I have.  I told him it wasn't any of his business...  I was really enjoying it at this point...  He said that he would have me reported for not cooperating with him, and he strongly urged me once more to "jump" on my computer.  Then I asked, "May I have your name, the company you work for and your direct line?  I am feeling harassed and am not enjoying this."  He said, "F*%$ you, you Mother F*%$#!" and hung up.  HAHA!  Hilarious...

How do we resolve this, you ask?  Me personally, I have Googled "Report Harassing phone calls" and have found many ways to take action.  I have already called my service provider and asked them to add a trace.  After this 607-271-9593 calls next time, I simply have to dial in a code.  Nice thing about the code is I can trace if this SOB calls from another number and it will even track "Unknown" or "Private" calls believe it or not.  There is some minimal cost, but worth it I think.  They say it should take 2 weeks to trace this sucker down and what ever BS they're selling.

Guy with east indian accent called me to tell my my computer was infected; stated he is calling from microsoft. demanded to be paid by credit card and said he will clean my computer.

SCAM !! A woman called and said she was with Windows and calling about my operating system.  She wanted me to turn on my computer and go through the a procedure so she could help me with any errors on my computer, in not those exact words. I could hear a call center in the background with many others talking on phones as well.  I caught on to this nonsense quickly after I asked for her operator number and information incase I lost her signal.  Then I asked how she got my number and if there was a request, etc, etc, etc.  She said she would transfer me to someone else I could understand better and put me on permanant hold.  I call the number back and it was out of service.

Same thing happened to me this morning. Are we stupid? Lol

Who is this company? We are getting calls from them.

My caller ID showed the name Linda Leuthe for this number, but the ID quickly changed to say payphone. I did not answer

The person tried to get me to do something to my computer.. not happening!

Some man with an Indian accent called me about a problem with my computer. When I refused politely, he got rude and explained it was my loss, so, I asked a series of questions.he couldn't answer, like how my number got in their system. Of course I got the run around about some "chip". I've had the same laptop for about 3 years, I don't have any complications. Never entered my number to report anything. Told no, then hung up.

Oh, if only I had access to the right database to trace these scammers down to their physical location!  I've been hit, not only by this number, but several other numbers also claiming to be from American Home Warranty, all of which originated either from Elmira, NY or the Seattle, WA area.  Either way, if the feds don't do something about these scammers, then all that's left is vigilante justice... and in this day and age, that's hacker's justice.  All that's needed is a name.  We can sort out the rest.

We also received a call in London, Ontario warning of problems detected with our "Windows computer". They seemed confused at being told Windows doesn't make computers. Super SCAM. Avoid these people! They called back immediately from four other numbers within two minutes. One was listed as "private caller" but the four others came up as:

These are all the same person/group/scam.

Lady with a thick asian accent called and said she was calling because she received a report that I have a problem with my "Windows computer", which "has an infecction". I replied that there is nothing wrong with my computer, and she said "but I get a report". I repeated that there is nothing wrong with my computer, and hung up.

REALLY!?!?

Indian guy called continued to ask for my husbands Surname & identified himself as a techie with Microsoft I immediately stopped him, advised him I was aware of his phone scam, didn't take too kindly to this call & did what I do best, told him to go F***k himself, I think I used it in verb form. He rebutted with similiar language, that's when I hung up.  3 seconds later he called back from a different phone # & became truly abusive & asked how it was possible for him to actually F***k himself.
Thats when I dropped the bombshell told him I was a Police Officer that I had traced the call already & if he failed to comply with my request not to call again I would have the authorities on his Rickshaw so fast he would find out in a hurry how it was possible to F***k himself, my Indian pain in the a** hung up immediately.
