Received a call from this number claiming that the caller was from Microsoft and that my computer had a virus which he would help remove. Turns out that they are using this ruse to sell you software. Don't!!!! I called this number back and a guy answered with the expression, "tech support". I hope nobody falls for this.

Just revived a call from this number, saying they were with Microsoft and that my computer was at risk with a virus of sorts and I needed to register by computer, and I had been unknowingly making payments for an anti-virus program that came with my computer. They wanted access to my computers serial number and other identification to fix the problem. I didn't feel comfortable with this so, said I had "things to do" and would maybe call back later. After looking up this number I'm so glad information wasn't given out, go with your gut, if it doesn't feel right, it likely isn't. The caller named Angel, said that to call her back her number was 1-888-920-6093 ext 0425, but the number that showed up on my caller ID was 1-607-363-9777.
NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION IF YOU ARE NOT SURE THAT YOU CAN TOTALLY TRUST THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE!

Got a call from this number just now.  Said my computer was sending out errors.  Yeah right.  I remember reading this on here when I checked out another number they called from a few days ago.  This one said "Payphone" on my caller ID.  I hung up on them.  

Caller ID says BRANCH COMFORT 607-363-9777.

I've gotten a number of calls from this number.  They call me by my first name and say they're from Education Ink and want me to get a degree.

For me it was a friend of mine calling from Bogota, Colombia.  She dialed from a cafe internet and sometimes when she calls me this specific number shows up.  Since she can't dial long distance from her cell phone it's cheaper for her to use a local network shop to place international calls.  So, if the person leaves a message it could be a long distant caller.

got a call from this number this morning, didn't pick up.. I live in ENGLAND!!

These a-holes just called us, and they kept my mom on the phone for two hours, and from what i could tell, they talked her into making a complete mess of the computer. My mom's older, she's not computer literate, and she fell for it.
I'm now going to be contacting Microsoft to see about fixing whatever they talked her into installing. We've had the bank hotcard her account, and they'll be sending a new one this week.

Called to France on 4 July 2013

Called my home phone 10:04 am ONtario. I have received these calls before and couldn't get rid of the "microsoft" guys.
This time I did not answer the call, they did not leave a message.

Just got a call at my business. They asked for a specific person who has not worked here for at least 10 years  and I told him that.  Then he asked my name, I told him my first name then he said may I ask you what your age is and I said no and hung up...

received 3 call from 3 different numbers in a 7 minute time on May 6, 2013:
1st - 1:35pm 607-562-8715 NEW YORK - very hard to understand, background noise louder, asked for business owner regarding web site.  Could not understand 99% of speaking voice
2nd - 1:38pm 315-789-9672 NEW YORK - claimed he was same caller, asked him how could he be if he's calling from a different area code, background noise still louder and clearer than he was
3rd - 1:42pm 607-363-9777 BRANCH COMFORT - answered on 5th ring - minor background noise, quiet foreground, then they hung up

They keep calling me but will not answer when I say hello, I called back to let them know I am on the do not call list but they never answered.

Got a call from "Microsoft" saying they had records of my computer being full of viruses.  Then the man told me to turn on my computer so he could remote to it.  I laughed at him and told him "Nice try idiot!" and hung up the phone.  This is a scam!!!!!!!  Microsoft does not have records of viruses on any computer and they don't initiat the call.

I've quit answering my phone, I check caller ID and if it's somebody I know I call them back.  This said Dunblanemarket.  Didn't leave a message.

they called me last night, same thing, Branch Comfort, started talking about windows, I thought they were trying to sell me windows for my house, and as I unloaded on this fillipino/indian, and told him I was on the do not call list and don't EVER F'ing call me again, I heard him say something about computers, but I hung up. Pretty sure his ears are still ringing.

They called here in Ottawa this morning, don't understand why these people are not shut down.

got a call at 7.19 pm pacific.  Dec. 13, 2012.  I had posted it by the phone previously to warn myself not to pick up.  It was allegedly from NY 607 363 9777.  Thanks for your website for warnings.  Why can't we rise up and stop this time wasting nonsense and danger.

Microsoft tech scam!!!

What a scam, bold to try and get access to your computer to delete hacker software, ya right!!!
I played along for bit trying to get information on the orgin of the call. As soon as I started asking tecky ???"s the conversation got short.
Hopefully everyone knows by now to only deal with people you know and trust when it comes to giving access to personnell property!!!

I received the same call  regarding the grant. Anytime someone calls ou and says that you have to pay inorder to receive money of any kind it is a SCAM!

They told me they were reporting that my IP address had been hacked and that they could rectify my problem all i had to do was go on my computer and give them my IP address.   This is a scam!! They hung up on me.
These people are trying to hack in to peoples computer to get credit card info.

Got 6 calls in a row, from this number and several others (626 area code and 210). Bogus.

Informed me that i put in for a grant and that I was approved for it and all I had to due was pay them with a credit card which I refused to due told them that I was at work in federal building and could not talk which I was

I deal with Microsoft for all my office computer problems and they always leave messages or send an email asking for a time to return a call.  Microsoft calls from India, Phillipines, Mexico, Florida or Washington State.

A scam, this is not Microsoft!

I got two calls from this number this afternoon less than two hours apart. He said he was calling from Comwave? And wanted me to sign up with them for a long distance package. I told him that I was not interested, then he wanted to know who our provider was and how much we were paying. Again I told him not interested. The second call something only this time I told him we got a call less than two hours ago and still not interested and take my name off there calling list. If these are the same people making the calls saying from "Microsoft", they can bugger off. My father got a call from "microsoft" about a month ago, he told them to go get a job, the guy said some very nasty names mudder f**, etc

Got a call from this number at 635pm. No answer when I said hello so I hung up. I don't say hello twice, usually is automated if nobody answers on my first hello, Glad I hung up!!

Once again it is time to try to make you beleive that your pc is having probleme and they are really trying hard to phise me

What a scam - and had the nerve to call me back immediately from another number after I hung up on him the first time! By the way - he was Filipino, not Indian. Beware!
