I lost my cat. Posted it on craigslist. They called asking about it. I couldn't understand his Middle Eastern accent.

Came up as Blue Dolphin Research on my caller ID. Left no message. I chk'd my blocked call list and this number was already on it!? I'm also on the  DNC list. Seems certain types of calls evade the "lists". Guess I'll just ignore it.  On another note, as a previous poster said, there are some things you can do/try. I previously was getting tel/mark calls on behalf of ASPCA. They were really aggressive. I sent a scathing email to ASPCA. They were advised my friends and I would no longer support ASPCA because of this. 3 days later they replied, apologized and removed my number from their tel/marks. 4 months later, still no calls from them. My fingers are crossed.

Call came in at 7.46 pm, prolonged dead silence at the other end. Hung up before any attempt to communicate might have commenced. Spooky spammer(s).

im in Stockholm, Sweden and have been getting these calls for about two weeks now.
im getting them from about 3 or 4 different numbers plus this one,
varying in areas from California to New York...
i havent answered a call yet from them as i was looked them up on google first... but im assuming
that they are all scams as no professional would call me two or three times here in Sweden at
5 in the morning...

Caller ID claims to be from a "PAYPHONE". Since I'm in CA, checked area code. New York?
"Caller" hung up when he/she just got my answering machine. God I hate these calls and am so thankful my number requires caller ID! Don't know the #, don't answer. If it's a "real" caller, I'll decide whether or not to call back

In UK - Just had a call regarding the competition I enetered to win a free iPhone 5 and iPad (which I don't remember entering) she had contact details and postal code which was of concern to me, just said I wasn't interested...

The person who called identified themselves as an employee from 'Microsoft' and then later from 'Windows'. Caller ID showed they were called from a pay phone, though it was clear from the background noise that the call was initiated from another country in a call center. They instructed me to change system settings on computer so they can hack into it. Total scam, a little funny because they were so unfamiliar with computers for the everyday user. This should be reported to FTC.

I just received my second call in a week from this number.  They wanted to verify my name and address and they said they were calling in regards to my windows account. Both times as I questioned them more they hung up on me. I also don't like the fact  that they know my name and address.

Calling and will not talk at late hours of the night. Needs phone removed and not another to use.

i got he phone from same number. and at the same time from some computer phones too+3844. fortunately i could not pick up. so tried back  607 625 9910. but the number was not connectable and sorry message received from the other end. so tried to see on net where this number is from and  found you all guys receiving phone from the same number. i will now remain  alert on this number.

These crooks know of no boundries. It has become pandemic because it is obviously so profitable with minimum risk.  For all the grief they are causing people,  it should become a worldwide effort to find and punish them.

Called me just now, was telling about a chance to overtake a firm in the united states.
It is a Lithuanian landline number, by the way.

I just recieved a call from this number and the woman said she was calling from Windows and I told her to stop calling here or I will call the police. Then I called my internet provider and was told it is a Scam to please report it to the Police. Which I did and the Police told me to go to this website and report it. WWW.antifraudcenter.ca

Calls and hangs up and calls from a different number won't speak.

Just got a call from this company. Didn't answer and google'd the number to get here. Kinda hope they call back! Would love to have someone tell me I have a Microsoft virus on my Linux computer!

3RD Call receive telling em my Computer is being compromise and that the antivirus program I have is not enough. I hang up on him, after he admited he was calling from India but show NY area. Already have 25 complaints. Show # Flaged as Telemarketers. I am in Nota call Registry and still get calls.

Indian guy who called me mamm(I'm a guy you dumb bastxxd) said he was from microsoft and my computer was sending maliscious.......I hung up!

Someone called me at 22.10 at night to tell me that they were from windows 7 and that my computer was showing errors from windows 7. I asked them (rather tongue in cheek) which computer they were talking about and how they had my number. He told me that it was my oldest computer and to go to it and he will talk me through fixing the problem.

I put the phone down and googled the number and it is the same as these other scams.

They say it is from a goverment office and that I won $7.800 that I will never have to pay taxes on it... What a scam!  I just hung up

The ONLY way regulatory agencies even KNOW about these scams is if YOU report them. Don't whine because some random person in "the government" doesn't wave a wand and make it go away. Try getting off your OWN figurative backside and calling your state regulatory office and making a report.

Seriously folks. Nobody in law enforcement or anywhere else is 'lying in wait' for these scumbags. YOU have to take action. That toilet ain't gonna flush itself!!!

Got a call about some Microsoft IT dept. wanting to fix our computer, claiming there were viruses malware etc. however I know these issues do not exist. They'll use ShowMyPc or LogMeIn to access your computer and download some malware, get IP info and try to get credit card info as well. watch out

Do Not Call lists are completely useless now that international calling is dirt cheap.  I'm on Canada's and haven't had a spam call in ages... they're all from the US or India.  Just because your caller ID -shows- a number from your country doesn't mean that's where the call is coming from.

I got a call from the 626-445-9137 referenced above this morning and Google brought me to this.

Constant call does not leave a message nor speak when I answer, I have resorted to hanging up as I am registered with "DO NOT CALL" and that list seems unable to stop this type of harassment.

Got a call from this # and let answer machine pick up. No message left. Tried to block call through my provider (Shaw) and got automated message telling me I was unable to call block this #. WTF? Way to go Shaw you totally useless D-Bags.
