This I think sounded like a Pakistani or something close to it, offering me help to fix my home computer from number +7 (807) 530-00-1 and I told him that I have a local person to fix my computer troubles. I tried to end the conversation quickly by telling him not to call back again. Then he mentioned that my phone number will be getting charged around $15 dollars for the last 45 seconds of the phone call. Then he actually called back again the same guy 20 minutes later from what showed up as +7 (804) 225-86-0 and the same conversation happened again. Good thing I missed a call but he left me a voicemail the first time with the number showing up when I had to retrieve it from my voicemail the number said 607-625-9911. I did save the voicemail. So the guy actually called 3 times! I think it may have been a voice recording...... maybe.

Called my home number in Vancouver this morning. It has been a while since they called. I wonder if the scam is back?

Call showed up as pay phone on caller I'd. Answered and individual said something in a middle Eastern sounding language and hung up.

Got this call today. Hung up after I answered. Caller ID said payphone.

I had the same call today said they were with Microsoft and I have a virus on my hard drive. He told me to do this and that with my PC (of course I didn't do anything) I told him I don't understand what he wants me to do I will have my IT person check it out, he said they will not be able to fix it. I asked him where he is located he said the states  I just hung up on him, and told him never to call again.  8/12/2013 @ 4.30 PM EST

Call from 607 625 9911saying that our wireless system is sending errors to Microsoft.  How would that even be possible???  Wanted me to log on and have him show me where the problem was.  I asked to speak to the Microsoft rep and to give me a Microsoft phone number to call - told me Microsoft was not involved but he as authorized to contact me about the"problem".  Hung up, but he called back immediately, hung up again.  Then searched the number here.  Thanks for the posts, everyone.

Got call yesterday and today something about microsoft and virses.  I knew it was scam and tried to get more information very hard to understand, english not good.. Than just hung up

I just got a call from this number about my windows 8. In broken English, he wanted me to go and turn on my computer and follow his instructions. I said I think not and I would call the police. The phone went dead.

Received a call from this number tonight.
Same fellow with the broken English, sounded like he was from Africa.
Asked me to hit windows key and then r - opened up the run command and had me open up event viewer.
Showed me around in there and informed me that the data in event viewer reflected that my computer was hacked.
Then had me go to some a website for desktop sharing and remote computer access.
Call dropped before I read him the code.
He called back a few minutes later from a different number (607) 733 1419. At that point I informed him I knew exactly what he was doing and hung up.

They called and started asking to remotely connect to our PC, something related to Microsoft.  My wife hung up on him.  That was about a week ago.  They just called again and when I said hello, they hung up.

Called and asked for me by name,said they were Microsoft, asked if i had computer, responded No Asian lady said- You don't understand English and hung up, to funny as she spoke with Asian Accent.

said calling from 'Windows' regarding pop-ups on my computer that indicate someone is attempting to hack me....he then asked for me to provide him specifics on my computer...I asked how he could confirm he wasn't a 'hacker' and he said 'fix it yourself then' and hung up...there is nothing linking my home phone number with my computer

Caller said he was from microsoft windows and wanted to speed up my computer because my computer sent reports that when I go to yahoo and google my computer experienced technical problems. He said he was from california. Told him to call me back later. .

This person called, after I said hello there was no answer. I called the number back and the number is not in service! We need to be able to block calls like this.

same thing ... very broken english ... wanted me to log into my computer because it had a virus and he was going tohelp - I said ... I don't have a computer ..... he didn;t beleive me .... I am thinking they want to get into your computer to hack it - stupid really but I guess some people would fall for it and that is what they are hoping .... tried to call number back ... not in service ....

Got a call at 11:30 at night, woke me up.
They didn't leave a message on my answering machine.

But I've been getting these calls about supposedly Microsoft tech services almost every day, from different phone numbers.
Very persistent scammers.

Just got that call as well.....was asian female...sounded older  not a young voice.  She had my name and my phone number.  she said (I think) was extremely difficult to understand, that all my infomation on my computer was downloading on her computer....

I told her I was NOT downloading anything.....she hung up.

Yep. I got a call today about the same thing. Some Dumbass from "INDIA" calling me from MICROSOFT...!

I bugged the hell out of him. I kept asking questions. "I've never received a call from Microsoft EVER. And now, they asked you to call me from INDIA??

This doesn't seem right here...give me YOUR phone number and I'll call you back after I do background check." etc...

He gave me a number (which was from New York)
