I'm in Australia and I also got a call from this number today (13/05/14) and when I asked who was calling they wouldn't tell me, so I just hung up. I also got another call from +1 (310) 510-9153 supposedly from Avalon, California.
Why cant these people just stop being so annoying!!!

More Scammers. Unbelievable that our govt can't stop scam artists.  Not much faith in our police, laws and justice system.  Everyone gets away with crimes.

received a call last night at approx 8:45 central time . caller id just said a new york call.i have a lot of medical problems take medicine and go to bed early, they wake me up and i have a hard time going back to sleep.these people need to be charged and fined some way. as you know it is some type of scam.

Today I'd received a call from that number. The female voice had mentioned that she's working for microsoft and that my pc would have been infected by a bad, bad virus. Just to put the test on her I asked which windows version my pc is running actually. As she sounded vague I told her, that she's not "a figure of authority"... and she hung up.

Same thing here in B.C. Canada.  Received a call from the same # 607 722 9665.  I answered.  Nothing.  I called the # back and a recording says; "# is not in service!"  I'm on Telus 2.00/month unlisted so I have no idea how they got my #!  There's something seriously wrong if I'm paying to be unlisted and these buggers are still getting my number somehow!  So annoying!!  :(  Thanks to everyone that posted on this page - saved me a lot of time and grief.  I love you all!!  :)

They called us today, and the caller ID just said New York and the number. DAMN annoying as we do have relatives in the area. They didn't leave a message.

my caller ID came up as "pay phone". I didn't recognize the area code so didn't answer. They hung up and I Googled the number and found this! Thanks for all the posts. Looks like they have been scamming for years.

My computer window is having virus and melacious activity and very forgein sound like Indian or Chinese and I said that I will report to FBI and hung up on them.

Man with accent, India or thereabouts. Windows computers. I doubt that's true. Same man who called me yesterday from 714-999-9103 - a California code vs NY today. They're spoofing numbers and change them constantly. I told him yesterday I was not interested, do not call. Today I told him I recognize his voice, he called me yesterday and I told him not to call - EVER! Morons wasting their own time as well as mine.

I receive at least one call a week from this number, it shows up on my caller id as phone booth. number is not a working number
when I try to call the number.

this number called my mobile 6 times today didn't answer as it it an international number and i don't know anyone living overseas.

Received a call from someone at this number with a very foreign sounding voice- Indian or Pakistani sounding. They asked for me by name, and then when I answered it was me, they hung up.

I got a call on my mobile - I'm in the UK but she had an American accent.    She asked for me by name and I told her she was disturbing me - she apologised and the line went quiet...

Looks like it's starting again! Female caller with an Indian accent telling me my computer is sending out error messages. When I started to question her she hung on me. I called the number and it is out of service. BEWARE!!!

He called me and asked me a loat of junk question.I don't know who is he.

I received a call at 11pm tonight telling me that they were from Microsoft Windows and that there is spyware on my computer. She kept saying that I need to turn on my pc right now, even though I kept saying that it is very late at night when people sleep and I am not turning on a computer.  I finally just gave up. There was definitely a language barrier

Ive been getting calls from this number and many more like it, all coming from different places in the USA. I live in canada and have no business or friends/family in the states. whenever i answer its usually just silence but sometimes someone says something incoherent before they hang up. if it is a scam they really suck at it because they havent even managed to say "hello" let alone attempt to sell me anything.

I just got a call saying that I was Hillory clinton and the wanted to speak to the president, then proceeded to ask to speak to bill clinton, after i told them that they were not there, he asked to speak to my doctor.  Finally he said i was an imposter and then hung up on me.

Getting cell phone calls from this number about my Microsoft computer ...I said I dont have a computer..

I got call from this number on my cell when I responded, nobody talked and I hung up. I tried to call back and it said the no doesn't exist. Next minute, I got call from another no..718-822-9084, same happened, no one responded. Looks like scam!

Same thing, I'm from Quebec and I just had this call, Stupid guy told me to turn my computer on for a check and virus etc... I said You know what's the problem?! He said Yes! I answered the prob is you, STFU! :)

I just got a call from this number and i live in Denmark in Europe!! I did not take the call so i do not know what the caller wanted. Here in Denmark the medias warn about scam calls frequently. So bottomline is - dont take the call if you dont recognise the number, because just answering the call or calling back can cost you money!

Same.  Talked to the guy who had an Indian accent.  Was telling me that I had a virus from Malaysia in my computer and wanted to get access to it to show me where it was.  Was the second time he called.  Very bad connection over my cell.  In both cases, line was cut before I could finish to talk to him.  In any case, my conversation was finished and just about to turn off.

I just got a call from this number tonight. Good thing I didn't answer the phone - I would have had a few choice words for them.
