Same as everyone else, Indian guy calling saying he is Martin Cline Attorney, looking for a Deborah, (No Deborah here) and they call 4 to 5 times a day, then stop for a day and start up again. I've reported this number to Do Not Call Registry but not sure what else to do. This is horrible.

Indian sounding male named Martin keeps calling my work saying he's from the legal department. I've told him to stop calling & he gets angry and says to repeat his phone number. When I tell him I'm not going to repeat it, he gets angry and says "I know you're not writing it down". I hung up on him. He calls a few times a week at my work.

Received a message from the office of this Frank Murphy. They would give me no information regarding why I was being called by a supposed law office and that I would need to speak to Mr. Murphy myself. Was told I could not be transferred to him, but to call the number about back and ask for x219 and all would be explained to me. Said I would do so and would then call my attorney to let them know about any potential issue. After threatening to contact my own attorney, when I called the above number back, somehow got Frank's voicemail without going through an extension, was the same voice I had spoken too and I have yet to meet someone with a middle eastern accent by this nice Irish name.

This presumably indian fellow named "Martin" is calling our business asking for one of our employees saying it is a legal matter and he needs to call back the attorney Frank Murphy. When I told him that this was a business phone and that he would need to call him on a personal phone number, he got irate with me so I hung up on him. He then called back and told me in a nasty tone"DO NOT HANG UP ON ME" I told him that I would leave one more message and that he would not talk to me like that and do not call back here. He then proceeded to argue with me and say that he was authorized to call here and he needed to talk to Gary and that Gary should call back and ask for Frank Murphy

You ARE being harassed - by scammers! Report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General. Since the callers had accents, it's odds-on that you're being contacted by fraudsters from another country. If they call back, tell them that the FBI is monitoring and tracing all calls they make to you!

I have received threatening calls from this number on my cell phone, so I changed my cell number. Then, I reported back to my teaching job after summer break and there were 2 messages on my work phone, again, sounding very threatening. The individuals (2 different callers) had accents that were very difficult to understand. I feel I am being harassed!

When you're told you need both luck and divine protection, that's sure to be another fake debt collector, usually in South Asia. Really it's extortion dressed as debt collection.
The agents' horrid threats are empty and their conduct is illegal. As early as possible it's critical to determine if your collector is domestic or foreign. The former you can sue into submission; the latter tend to be out of reach.
My notes from October 2011 on payday loan and "hot check" collectors are linked below.
