Three calls today, no message left, irritating - do not want to be called again

I answered it and the lady asked for my name.  I asked "who's calling?"  She just responded "thanks." and hung up.

This person has been calling me 3-4 times/day for the past 3 days.  Who are they?  If I answer they hang up.  If I don't, they don't leave a voicemail.

Same old story. Pick up, no one answers. At least 5 times a day. Very annoying.

I answered a call from this number just minutes ago. When I said "hello" at first, no one responded and all I could hear was a lot of background noise. When I said "May I ask who's calling?" a woman with a Southern-sounding accent said "Nevermind" and hung up. What's the deal?

Got many calls, the person on the other end asked for my social security number and credit card information.

These people call constantly every three hours. Every time I answer they hang up. They did leave one message, but it was silent. I'm getting very annoyed with these people.. or machine, whatever this is.. The last time they called they woke up my baby.. People get their a***s kicked for that you know, you just don't wake a peacefully sleeping baby for no reason..

My fiance and I both keep getting calls from this number on our cell phones. yesterday they called me atleast 8 times. HIGHLY ANNOYING

Got 3 calls from this number this past Saturday (6/2/12) and then today got 6 calls finally was home to answer one about 5 minutes ago and no one was there. Very aggravating!

Calls from this number several times a day. No one on the other end and if you call it back it is an invalid number.

Called me twice today. Didn't pick up the first time. Picked up the second time and they hung up right away. No messages were left.

Received 4 calls yesterday. No one answers the one time when I picked up and no messages were ever left. Cannot return a call to this number.

Who is this person?

Called twice. Didn't answer the first time. When I answered the second time I said hello, once they heard that they hung up.

I've gotten 4 calls from this caller in the last 3 days.  As typical for this type of call, no message on the answering machine.  I no longer answer calls without a known caller ID, so I have no idea who is calling.

They called an someone spoke to me asking for my sister, then my parents and i both answered no they hung up

I got called 3 times, the third time I picked it up and it was someone talking about consernes about high gas prices. I had to ask 4 times to be taken off the list before the lady gave up.

I have been getting a couple of calls a day and there is usually no one responds, last time I picked up and did'nt say anything, after about 15 seconds someone said hello and wanted to ask about the upcoming elections. I cut them off and asked that my # be removed, no more calls so far, but you can be sure Bush won't give up. ha ha

Caller claimed to be working for WC Research, and doing "survey work."  She started asking me which candidate I supported in a local race.  I repeatedly asked her who she was calling for and who was sponsoring the "research."  Any legit telephone poll company should give you the name and phone number of the person conducting or supervising the research.  She was unwilling to do this and eventually hung up.  The tipoff should have been from the phone number and caller ID of "Unknown Name."

They called every day last week - twice on Friday.  They asked for my husband and I told them every time that he was at work.  When they called on Sunday and he was available they hung up on him.

They call 2x a day, usually about 11:30 and 4:30.  Today called in a.m. twice. When I answer and say 'hello', no one answers or seems to be on the line.

I've received about 20 calls this weekend. Sometimes 3 calls in one hour. I didn't answer until this afternoon. The first time she said she was with the American Foundation, started talking about gas prices. Call disconnected during her "speech". Called back again 15 minutes later. Nobody there. I waited and waited. I heard someone "pick up". I told them to quit calling they hung up. 15 minutes later, my husband answered. They asked for me...I swore in the background (screamed), told them I called the authorities. Phone hasn't rung now for 20 minutes. I won't hold my breath. This is very annoying and at the point of harrassment.

Has called up to 2x an hour the last 3 days.  Cannot call back.  Very annoying.

We started get calls from that number yesterday and they called twice yesterday. Today though they called about 15 TIMES! Its very annoying.

I've been getting daily calls from this number too with no messages left; tonight a call came through from this number ... indicated that the call was coming from "Working America" and they're concerned about high gas prices.  I cut them off at that point simply because I don't want to be bothered with their phone calls and asked them to remove me from their list.

Have started calling the past two days. No one responds when I say hello and then I hang up first. I will no longer pick up the phone when I see this number on caller ID. They just called 5 minutes ago.

They call almost every day, sometimes more than once. Whomever is doing it (I started an investigation through our local police dept. today-- yes, you CAN do this through a police Detective) never leaves a message, nor do they speak at any point, regardless of if I pick up or not. I've noticed more and more callers and a greater frequency of calls in number every since Dubbya's gang got the FISA reform pushed through to hold telecoms immune, including retroactively. Vote Democratic/Progressive, and take four to the polls with you this Fall! We need OVERWHELMING NUMBERS to beat another stolen election.
