Beware of Scammer: Guy called me from this number in response to a boat for sale I had posted on Craigslist. Goes by the name of Collins Williams and stated he lives in Wisconsin. Told me that he would pay me back if I would pay $500 upfront to have the item shipped to him by arranging it with the shipping Company he uses by the name of Zippo Moving and Shipping out of Green Forrest, AR. Brandy Miller phone # 213-394-9062 claims to be an associate of the shipping company. This is not a legit shipping service. These people are both scammers using phone numbers off Google, please be careful! They also sent out what appears to be real emails from Citi Bank confirming that I would be receiving my money for the transaction, but spoke to Citi Bank representative who confirmed it was not an email from their company. They are copying and pasting info from Citi Bank website which appears real. Tried to contact them after sending money for shipping and they will not respond, only to tell me that I need to send another $400 for insurance. Stay away from these people to avoid being ripped off!!

This same guy just texted me wanting to buy vehicle???  Wants to use paypal to send money & says he will pay shipping-whats up with this-scam or not.  Also says his name is Collins-odd.  Info appreciated asap.

Placed an add on craiglist to sell some tires, 10 mins later i received a text message from this man asking "Do you still have the (Listed item) please get back to me asap Thanks. i reply yes i still have itme and he replys with "Thanks! my naem is colllins, am from WI. i'm satisfied with your firm/advert price and am redy to purchase. Can you assure me that it will not be disappointed? and im sorry if you dont midn me asking . what yoru name?" who is the right ownere? paypal for the payemnt? please let me know asap.

Says his name is Collins, wants to buy a drum set from me via Pay Pal or Certified Check. Price, no problem,, shipping,, no problem. He's waiting for me to text him back with pay pal info,, I smell a rat.

I'm currently getting text messages from both this guy's numbers. it's amazing it only took me 2 minutes to figure out this guy was a scammer thanks to this page

Does anyone know exactly how they do this?  I did a lot of research and found out that they usually steal a number that belongs to someone that has a cell phone but now with the last scammer i had sorry it wasnt this number but he was able to acquire a land line in Texas and he actually got us from a local classifieds company and not Craigs list these guys are trash and need to be taken to the curb and are really really impossible to find because they are not even in this country just appears that way.

WHY WONT PAYPAL SECURITY EVEN LOOK INTO THIS?  I WAS HANDING THIS GUY TO THEM ON A PLATE. THEY WILL NOT EVEN TAKE THIS GUYS NUMBER

He is a scammer, he will also use phone # 806-853-7861. I tried to get paypal to set him up and they refuse to even look into it. I think ebay is trying to discourage people from using craigslist so they can make more money.

I am going back and forth with this person over an item on CL also. Claims he is at sea and come pick it up in person. Gave me a name of Ryan from South Dakota for his shipper. The governmnet needs to forget about the gun control issues and put their task forces to a better use. Do not send this person a dime. Report them to Paypal also.

Just listed the item and immediately got the text message from this person
+1 (608) 561-8234 interest. Nothing happen afterward and he have all the info & pictures of the item.

This person just tried to buy a car off me, he's still texting me at the moment. I asked for a valid picture ID and he would not give. He said he "was tired of all the questions" THANK GOD FOR THIS POST

We got a text from this number to purchase a boat.  We asked them to call so we could discuss....they would not.  Said it was bad weather in Wisconsin and could not get through.  Wonder how they could text??????

This person should get a real job and stop wasting our time.  We were trying to honestly sell some belongs.  We received the same text as everyone else after posting on Craig List.  He/She is really making it difficult to sell things.

Same thing happened to me; posted an item on Craigslist, recieved a text message the next morning asking if the item was still for sale and that they wanted to use Paypal to pay for the item. They said their name was William and that they had a frieght compnay who could pick the item up. Just a scam, do not listen to them.

After putting an ad on CL, I got a text from this number this morning. SCAMMER! Do not respond or text back (even to tell them to screwoff) because they will add your number to a database of tele marketing jackwagons.

Craigslist/Paypal scammer bot over text messages. Scum. Don't even bother texting them back. Please newbies don't fall for something as plane to see as this.

Put ad on craigs list 8/9/2012 and got text next morning asking if it still for sale.  Wanted to buy item using paypal and have item shipped (across country) by one of "William" own shipping companies.  SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoever it is would have to have read the ad and  desipher text to number of my phone to text me

I sent their number to the attorney generals office, and asked if they would investigate their scam.

I received a txt from thie number after posting an ad on Craigslist too tried to get money from me through pay pal probably just a scam because they were supposed to place money into my account & it never showed.

i think this is a lady do to her texs, and they are using paypal to scam you.
