I received the same call. I just ignored until I received a call from David's Bridal calling for "Lacey." I don't know any Lacey and I'm certainly no one's fiance. So I called David's to let them know they had the wrong number. It seemed rather coincidental two calls regarding a wedding, so I returned the initial call and provided my number and they mentioned the same "Lacey" and asked if I was the fiance. Once I got wind of this I called David's back to let them know it may be something fraudulant, however the lady didn't seem too concerned that was the case, ignored the reference to the company that called about the dinner for two offer, and said she [Lacey] must have just provided the same wrong number. From the other David's-accounts referenced within the other postings it all makes some sense now... Thanks!

I've been married for 18 years.  Received a phone call today and left a voice message for a Jessica.  Said it was Dinner for 2 and congratulations on my engagement.

The thing with the Do not call registry only works on cold calling. However, of you put your name and number in the field to sign up for their service you are inviting and allowing telemarkets to call.

I have been getting the same phone calls, but i have been receiving them before I went to Davids Bridal.. the only time I have given my number out has been at a few bridal expos..  These people get your numbers thru many places!  To many scams going on.  I have even gotten phone calls for compensation for different drugs that have kileed or made people ill!  I jsut ignore them, they eventually stop..
Glad to find out it is a scam before i decided to answer them..

So disappointed ? I just recently set up an appointment for a fitting with DB and since that time I have been receiving phone calls from scammers. I researched the numbers and find that all comments mention that they started getting these calls too as soon as they registered with David?s Bridal. I have my fitting this weekend and here I all ready have a bad taste in my mouth with this issue?

I am so tired of all the phone calls because of David's Bridal! The caller said he was from dinner for two and my husband has set this up! He had the wrong wedding date... Clue one! My husband speaks GREEK! Huge mistake saying he set it up! The guy even told me he spoke to my husband personally! What a joke! I called the guy a liar, and told him not so kindly that my husband only speaks Greek! This is when he told me they get the phone numbers from David's bridal!
Warning to people who do not want these types of calls! STAY AWAY FROM DAVID"S BRIDAL! I will never buy anything from them!

What company did the rings come from and how much was the gift certificate for the rings? Also did you have to give them or show them any of your personal information?

I have been receiving voice mails and missed calls from 608-663-1186 for MONTHS. Initially I was excited to hear my Fiancee' and I had WON a prize. I assumed it was from the bridal expo I had attended. My Fiancee' encouraged me to call the number. It was strange.. I was put on hold and quickly realized this was not legit. I got married on March 24, 2012. I just got another call today that my "Fiancee'" and I had won. I decided to google the number and see if anything popped up. I am furious to hear that the common denominator seems to be David'd Bridal. I spent a lot of money at David's Bridal. Bought my bridal gown there in addition to all the accessories I needed. (ie. jewelry, sash...) My bridesmaids bought Vera Wang gowns from them also. NOT good customer relations to sell my number to scams.

Got a phone call this morning around 10am, not too bad right? A ladt says that I have won three prizes, I choose between a trip for two from the bahamas or cuba, etc. and some jewelry company that I can get two wedding bands that are tungston. I also won a dinner for two and my fiance gets his name in hopes to win a Harley Davidson Bike. They set me up for a meeting at a hotel at 6 o'clock or 8:30 at night! thats insane. The only place I gave my name, number and email to, is David's Bridal. They will be getting a phone call from me.

I also just got a call from someone at this number (1 800 676 4731), it sounded like they said it was Xavier from 'Jennifer Tooth' (?) to notify me that they were holding my bridal package and provided me a reference number. I also had entered a limited number of drawings at a bridal fair, but have not been harassed by any of those locations; however, David's Bridal also has my information and that seems to be the common thread.

Angelica from Dinner for Two Royal Prestige also keeps leaving me messages about a package i never ordered. Im not even engaged...

Pretty much the same istance as above but the number I received a call from was 608-663-8591.  The said I won a dinner for 2 set up by my fiance and they could only hold the deal for a short period of time, but to call back 1-800-676-4731.

I did not answer the phone as I didn't recognize the number.  They called 2 days in a row so far, but only left 1 voice mail.  

David's Bridal is the only place I have registered myself.

I never answer any long distance numbers, but my fiance insisted i answer this one. It was a lady named Sandra and she said i won a bridal package. She went on and on and kept saying my name in her "pitch" which was strange. I was very confused and went along with it and she kept saying it was totally free, no purchase necessary, blah blah. We won a 3 day two night vacation, all we had to pay was airfare. We won complimentary wedding bands, all we had to pay for was shipping. and his and her aprons. I'm not sure what to think about this one. I also bought my dress at Davids, it's all paid for, and I do not plan on going back. Has anyone actually gone to these meetings?! Ahh how annoying.

Thanks for this post! I had just had the same thing happen to me today! I am also one of those who never win anything so it was so easy to believe...until a friend warned me of the same thing to her sister...I am SO wanting to get these guys busted! But now I don't know what to do.....I am way too gullible.

I received that same message word for word. I am definately not going to call them back. Thank god for caller ID!

Hey people who say "I'm on the national do not call list... I signed up for Davids Bridal". Just a little information for you since you're concerned about your "consumer rights" the national do not call list protects you from companies that you do not have buisness with. Same as the standard call times of when telemarketors can and can't call. The fact of the matter is (like it or not), the minute you gave your number to Davids Bridal you gave them permission to sell it and thusly circumvented all of your consumer rights in regards to the companies calling you.

I bought a dress through DB which is what got me to this forum.  I was not presented with a privacy policy from them which means they sell numbers. You can act all indignant if you like but don't act like a smart consumer who knows all these different rules to the phone game, because you aren't.

well well well i live in a bo dunk town of wisconsin and recieved this call, being excited i decided to google the company hoping it isnt be a bill collector and to my suprise i found this website i was not happy... also the only registry i signed up for is davids bridal as well thanks to all the ladies who posted this is was very helpful and im glad i didnt fall for it!!!

tell you what - if David's is selling our info - I think I'm going to have to tell them to cease and desist.  I dont' appreciate getting garbage messages.  Got the message, called back and they gave me the cruise/bands/coupon spiel.  But - they're not in michigan now so they'll call back when they are in the area.  think i'll be busy that night.

Thank you to you all for posting!!  I entered for two sweepstakes for photography packages through The Knot and thought that maybe I actually won. The message said exactaly what the others posted except the called themselves "RP Bridal Rewards" and left me a reference # as well. The # seemed weird and not a local area code in MA, so I googled it and found out the real deal!  Not sure how they got my info though and it makes me upset if it was from The Knot.
