I got a call from this number with a garbled message similar to all of the rest of vm listed here.  The caller left his name but no company but a time to call him back.  I figured I should just do a reverse look up to know what I am getting myself into.  I was a former financial advisor for seven years and it is against the rules to not state your company, so this Michael Nofsinger figures that since he is not soliciting you for business but for recruiting that he doesn't need to.  This is stupid.  BTW from being in the industry for so many years, insurance and financial companies will recruit you for your friends and family then toss you to the wolves.  If you do want to become an advisor go with a company that has a great reputation and great name (if you think there is one).  Otherwise Primerica is for the lower end of the spectrum, the bottom feeders as it were.  It's commission only find your own leads, dog eat dog.  It's not a scam but it might as well be.  90% of financial advisors don't make it after the first year.  After that you either need rich friends or wealthy family ties to survive.  You also start to lose your soul after a while.  I was so glad when I got out of the business.  Ignore this guy.  It's not worth your time.

Well Jill if this guy is legit, why don't you tell us what company he works for? Please don't say it's because of legal issues you can't give out the name. If you had an interview with him and said it was a great deal, then please share. Put something good on the internet about this instead of leading everyone on with the BS of a great opportunity. Sure you don't work for him?

This guy by the name of Michael Noffsinger (sp?) called and states he wanted to interview "after buisness hours" Huge alert right there!! He went on to state that he is from around my area. lol
hmmm AND couldnt give me an exact position that I would be applying for or interviewing for. He was sure he could use me tho. SCAM! I called back to cancel the interview due to researching this guy on internet. He called me back stating that my cancelation due to my researching him on the internet was "disturbing"

I got a similar call recently. Completly legit company. When he first called i was in a meeting and didn't know who it was, so I sent a text. It was a business cell and doesn't receive or respond to text messages. I think the person who posted before me got a text from a different number.

Anyway, it was a great interview with alot of information on the company. I'm trying to finish my masters degree for phsycology. So with my time constraints it's not the right fit, but I hope people actually check out the opportunity for themselves vs. taking the word of others on the internet.

Some of you people sound like you didn't even take the opportunity to get more information, but instead just get upset about a 30 second message.

By the way they didn't try to use my phone to make long distance calls or scam me out of money.

Check the bbb.org(they are A+ rated), Traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol PRI. How can a scam be listed on the NYSE?

My professor always told me, " Be careful where you receive your information and is that a source you could qoute in a college paper?"

I hope that helped your desicion: I wish I would have read that type of info on here vs. nonsense accusations that have no truth to back them up.

Have a great 2012,

-Jill

Prank Call
he texted me last night @ 10:39 pm cst, October 6th, 2011
he said,
"That is the funniest Craiglist post I have ever read".

What a Weirdo!
I have many different items for sale on craigslist, and have no idea which ad he found so funny.
Sounds like a dude with no life, after reading all these things.

I have gotten a few calls from a Mike Nofsinger over the years, but never really made the correlation.

I just got a couple of calls from this number. The second one I answered because I was curious and after the first they didn't leave a voicemail. It was from someone saying they worked at Banker's Life and they wanted me to sell insurance for them. I was supposed to come in and meet the manager next week on Tuesday. Not sure what kind of scam that was supposed to be...

This dude has been playing phone-tag with me for about two weeks now and the times he has given me to call him never seem to get an answer.... but then he will call me randomly at 10a.m.  Might have to give the number to my friends and leave him a few messages after a Badger Saturday.... Just a thought.

Wow,this has been going on for awhile.  I got the same call others have received over the last couple of years--his business is expanding and my name came to him as someone he may want to talk to.  A financial services rep, if that is what this is all about, is not for me.

Michael Nofsinger is a Division Manager with Primerica.  Primerica is listed on the NYSE under the symbol PRI.  Jim Cramer who hosts the show Mad Money talks great about the company.  A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau.

I have received calls from 608-395-4966, 608-669-0174, 608-838-1740 all saying "wrong number" when I answer. These have been followed up with 715-650-0271. All say the same thing. All are to my unlisted cell phone. This is beyond irritating.

Just received a voice mail from this gent.  Seems like he's at it again.  Did return the call but it dialed my number.  Was concerned that this might open my line and he would be able to use it for long distance calls, but none of the other "victims" have seemed to have a problem with thisl

Yes, same message, Michael Nofisinger sp?.  Left my name and phone number on his machine.  I live to harass phone scammers.  I will be calling this number and leaving messages for a long time.  Hope he calls back!  I would love to talk to him in person.  I'll see if I can get a credit card number out of him, or get him to give up some identifying info, or where he is calling from?  Is he Michael Nofisinger (Mossfinger, is what I heard.)  or Micheal Mark or Tyler Nelson?  So he has been harassing since Nov 09, seems like a fun hobby to him.  It is a U.S. Cellular call that I received.  Let the games begin!!  I will post more if there is any activity to report!

I received a call from Michael and went to the interview.  The company is Primerica.  They've been in business since 1977.  It's a national company that will be on the NYSE on Thursday under the trading symbol PRI.  They help people get on the right track financially and help them reach their long-term goals.  I called the Better Business Bureau and they have an A+ rating.  They are looking for individuals to work with clients, develop teams of representatives, and open offices.  It's an opportunity for a person to build their own business, not be an employee.  Definitely isn't your traditional corporate job, but it seems like a great opportunity for the right person.
