Typical Warrant, I got mine, f*** the rest. Let me guess you where enlisted then couldn?t handle it so you went Warrant? Major, Please tell me you are in the National Guard. You seem to be the type that would make fun of a Flag draped coffin. The taxpayer is paying for these services weather they get used or not. I?m glad my chain of command doesn?t have your mentality. You both are an embarrassment to me, the Army and the United States.

Received a call from them yesterday. Said they were contracted by the VA to make an appointment for me. I believe they are legit, but they insisted on confirming my birthdate and SS# to verify they were speaking to the correct person (something the VA does NOT do when they call me) and that is not a good approach from an unsolicited caller. I refused, told them since they had my phone number, they surely have reached the correct person, and that I would never give out personal info to anyone I did not call myself. Called again today and I did not answer the call.

They are LHI, they handle medical assessments for a number of government agencies as well as large corporations. They called to schedule a vision and hearing test for me. I work for Union Pacific Railroad as a locomotive engineer and they called to help with med assessment scheduling so I can keep my Federal License to operate trains.

Calls coming from this number are from LHI. I worked at their call center from 2011-2013. They provide multiple services.
1: Medical/dental appointments for almost all branches.
2: Schedule VA appointments for backlogged VA locations
3: Schedule Pre-employment exams for various railroads, (CSX/BNSF/UP)
4: Schedule appointments for WTC responders.
5: Help returning service members complete their PDHRA (post deployment health reassessment.)
6: They also run SRP (group events) where units have events held during drill weekend.
6: various other contracts like nurse advisor helplines.
TBH no one here gives a s*** if you answer.

They are legit, the company is LHI or Logistics Health Inc. They are a subsidiary of United Health Care. They do all sorts of government contracting. Just an FYI, the information they have on you is only as accurate as what they receive from the gov.

Individual called my home phone and left a vm then called my cell phone. He wanted to schedule appointments at Altoona VA for me and of course, wanted my personal information. He was not given any information and told that I would continue to make appointments with the VA my self. By the way, I have been out of the Air Force since 1968. I see some information indicating that the company is no longer certified by DOD.

I got a "COLD CALL" from these guys. I don't care how many comments are here that say "They are legit". The caller said the call was about a VA Claim. Told her I don't give out the info she wanted on a "Cold Call". and since I have an appointment at a VA Hospital in less than two weeks, the info can be collected while I am there...
Cyrum 2013-02-14 18:18:05 Unknown
Same with me.

I got a missed call from them, no voice mail left. I have never been in the military, so I dont know why they would call me.

I received a call from this number, but when I answered the line was dead. Nobody there.
Based on the other comments here, it could be LHI calling me to remind me about a dental appointment I have in the near future. But why was the line dead?

stop calls to my phone

Just a little advise Major from a Senior NCO, you can gain more respect from your troops when you speak to them as adults. Especially when you refer to the Army as temp fixing someone's teeth to put them in the war...have some respect. Have you ever heard of the idiom, "Walking a mile in their shoes", sounds like you have been manning a desk for most of your career.
Ben 2011-12-16 20:57:13 Unknown
I received a call from them about my deployment readiness...although they may be legit, he is my gripe. I am a ART in the AF reserves, technically I am a federal worker till I put my uniform on. When I was contacted by them they asked for my name, rank and SS#. Of all my 10 years active duty and now 4 years reserves, I have always been told not to give out info like this over the phone. Also I just had my pre-deployment physical and assesment on base...so why the hell are they calling me for. For one our troops should not be counting on some civilian that may not even have a security clearance to take down this info. As far as I know they are sitting in some call center gathering all this info for everyone to see, not like the VA ever lost our info right? I would refuse to answer them, contact your unit medical POC and give them the info, what an idea they can actually do the job they are paid for instead of wasting tax dollars on contracting some questionable company to do it...
CW4, RET 2011-08-24 16:01:23 Unknown
I agree...really!! MAJ sounds like the pencil is attached and fixed up his fourth point of contact!!
And I am not calling them back, I've done my time!!
skyvinge 2011-08-20 14:40:35 Unknown
The calls are genuine, made from military, for your medical and dental appointments, or any military related issues.

Called on 9:41am on 8/9/11, but left no message. Caller ID showed "logistics Health." They have called in the past re getting examinations due to me being a 9/11 survivor/responder, but I haven't been in that program for a couple of years. Must be operating off an old list.

This IS NOT Union Pacific, dummy.
This number is from the Dept of Defense, left a message on my phone regarding a post-deployment health reassessment.
Anonymous in MO 2011-06-06 20:52:23 Unknown
It's Union Pacific RR. Pick up the phone dummy.
Mc 2011-06-06 20:52:23 Unknown
Specifically the number belongs to Logistic Health Services, they handle all the dental and very minor medical scheduling for the national guard and reserve components, and chances are they are calling about dental work and or a dental waiver you might have. I suggest you answer it when you see it, not to many people get there teeth fixed for free!
NC 2011-06-06 20:52:23 Unknown
It's Logistic Health Services for the Military. They called me because I started my post-deployment survey online but you actually need to talk to them on the phone to finish the survey.
