Be sure to snap" screen shots" of your contact with the scammers
Write down all phone numbers and email addresses.
Paper-trails help to catch these losers
GET AS MUCH INFO AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN......

Also, report to the Federal Trade Commission.

Fight back and help the less advised (elderly, uneducated, poor ect.)

Report to cell phone carrier and report to Internet fraud division

Dave scammed the wrong listing because I'm married to a vice cop!

And ddmm67@gmail.com was involved in sending fraudulent checks from a closed account of mine to supposedly pay for the goods that he wanted to get off of people who had listed goods on craigslist.  anyone injured by him should file a complaint with ic3.  Roger Eaton

Same thing. "Dave" just texted me he wanted my furniture but was going out of town. So could he mail a cashiers check. Then he said his secretary made a mistake and included drivers expenses to pick up my item and the cashiers check was accidentally for $3, 945! Now why would someone spend $200 on a bed that would take another $3,700 to get there! Hell I could by a nice new one for that.  I texted back and advised him I would not be a party to money laundering and if he did send me a check in that amount I would return to sender. What a do***e bag.

Posted furniture and got the text from GaynorEllieo@gmx.com 609-200-6054.  Site unseen, he is ready to buy and will arrange pick-up after his check he sends me clears my bank.  signed Dave.  Also got a email reply to my Craigslist ad that went into great detail about how the person could't get to inspect first, just would send check then pick up later.  That came from D.J. [ddmm67@gmail.com].  Pick up what?  The item I'm selling along with the rest of my household!!! STOP THE SCAMMING!!!!

This Dave is an A******!!  Also posted an ad on Craigslist.  Same thing, the check is in the mail and over the amount of the item.  HOPEFULLY Dave will get what is coming to him.  I HATE THIEVES AND LIARS!!

I too listed something on FB and got texts from this Dave guy. I have since removed my item from FB and not responding to him. Big red flag was when he said they'd mail me a money order and schedule a pick up after it clears. SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also posted an add on craigslist for furniture. Through an e-mail they wanted a number to text me. Through texting they wanted a mailing address to send the check to. The guy texting me goes by the name "Dave" or "Mr. Dave". I have not corresponded any further due to finding this site. Thank you Latrobe for reporting this number.  I've recently found that this is a common craigslist scam and this site confirms it.

Posted an add on craigslist. They wanted a number to text me. They sent money orders from the post office that were fake. Also for over the amount and wanted me to money gram the balance back to them. I took the money orders to the post office and they took them. Still waiting to here from the post office
