I'm also an Atlantan, and I received calls from both of these numbers this week.  The 609 call came on Monday evening, and the 530 call was on Tuesday evening.

Today (Wednesday), I received unsolicited calls from 312-780-1700 and 818-870-5076.  Don't know if they're related, but I think it's the same auto warranty folks that have been harassing me for ages.

i picked up when dis person called and it was an answering machine in spanish saying "you where the number 10 caller and just won a prize press number 1 to claim ur prize." i didn't press anythin and it just hunged up.  It happen to my best friend and my mom that's weird.

They use a VOIP System that has every area code in the USA programmed in - they are PURE SCUM - and they know it - They don't display their name!  I got a call from them -- and they violated the FCRA four times in the calls.
A - They called four times that day
B - They left a derogatory message stating "Unless you call us by 5PM, we will have our partners file a lawsuit against your social, (My Name) This debt is severely past due - you reference number is $#$%%@#@# - and unless you call me today, severe repercussions will result.

I called these MF's back, got that particular women on the phone, told her that I was a parlegal and that violated FCRA four times and that if she was so interested in finding that person that she should use US Mail and that I would be filing a lawsuit on the behalf of that person.  She slammed down the phone - I called back, got a supervisor, read him the riot act (same as above) and he swore up and down that my number would be placed on a permanent do not call list.

NEVER - NEVER - NEVER - BELIEVE THESE MF SCUMBAGS...It's a Law - THEY must send you something in the US Mail and THEY MUST VALIDATE the debt after you send back a certified letter!!

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Got a call from this number. A recording started playing in Spanish, I hung up after a couple of seconds because I don't understand spanish. Did not call the number back.

CROSS REFERENCE= The same thing happened to me from the number 1-530-217-6330. Are the numbers related? (530) dials for Auburn, CA, while (609) dials for Newark, New Jersey.

IT IS A MATTER OF FACT U ARE WAISTING YOUR TIME. THERE IS NOTHING AGAISNT TELEMARKETES BECASUE THERE IS MILLION OF THEM AND NOW THEY ARE CALLING FORM OVERSEAS THUS THE US LAW IS OUT OF THEIR JURISDICTION.

this number called my phone around 8:30 PM .. i was busy so i couldn't answer it, they didn't leave a number or anything.

Got a call from this number yesterday about 7pm. Answered, no one there. Hung up.

Didn't pick-up because didn't recognize the 609 area code(turned out to be New Jersey.) No message left. This has happened before, although it's been at least six months since the last time.

So, we are logging these calls on this site but is anything actually being done? Is this site info reported to any agency that can actually do something or are we all just kvetching and wasting our time?

I didn't get the call but called the number back and it said that this was a travel issue. WTF!

They called me to my cell. I have an Orlando number..You should get the CEO phone number and called him or her at 3 a.m. every day ...!

The only businesses who I've given my cell phone # are Delta, USAir, Airtran and JetBlue.  Do the math I guess...one or all of them sold the info to travel telemarketers.

I actually answered and although they were talking to me, it was not english..so I hung up.

Received a call from this number, knew better than to pick it up-- did it anyway, heard some spanish but there was some heavy static, too.

Received a call on my cell phone...recorded message, entirely in spanish.

Received a call about 15 minutes ago. No message.

Received a call from this number 35 minutes ago, did not answer. If its not in my address book, I don't pick up.

I answered the phone.  It sounded like a wizard was on the other end and he asked for my phone number and zip code so I gave it to him.  He said that he liked it and then he told me the secret of my true love and now I'm the most popular boy in the world!

got an automated call from this number on my cell, automated voice was completely in spanish.. not a clue what it was saying.. hung up.. cause I didn't understand.

Just received a call from this number and it was a spanish speaking automated message. I hung up and will ignore it.

Called my cell phone just now... no message nor did I answer.  I haven't applied for anything new in a long time, nor do I give it out and I registered my home and cell phone on the do not call registry... my cell phone is my personal space and I wish there was something we could do to stop all these annoying useless calls....

got a call from this number and no message was left. I called them back got an automated system that said "Hello, this is a travel related call. If you wish to get information you may hang up and we will contact you shortly.  If you wish to be removed from our contact list, press 1". I pressed one and then the prompt asked me to put in my phone number.  I entered a fake number and the system said, "thank you. You have been removed. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I just got a call from this number. I have been getting called by spanish speaking people for the past year.  Some of them asking for their baby daddy some requesting money I owe them.  I have no idea who these people are. Luckily someone from our Costa Rican office was here to translate. They told him that i won a prize and when I told him to tell them to not only f*** off but take me off their list.  They hung up.
