I had a feeling that this was a scam about a Wachovia (now Wells Fargo) account that I finished paying off last year when i called the actual bank itself.  The caller couldn't say the bank's name right.  Instead of saying Wah-Kove-Ee-Uh they say Wah-Chove-Ee-Uh whiched tipped me off that there's a scam going on.  So, they immediately pass me on to some other person and he pronounced it as wah-chove-ee-uh so I mentioned to him that my account is closed and have proof of that.  I asked his name and all he can give me is "Mr. Fox"

Got a text mesg. I don't have3 W Wachovia accoutn. Bogus !!

Just got the "customer issue Wachovia service frozen" text. Called Wachovia's 800 number and they confirmed that it's a scam. They also said that a similar type email scam is going around.

This just happened to me too. It's a scam. I gave sprint service, what about everyone else

Got this telephone number on my cell, telling me my Wachovia accounts were frozen. I called Wachovia's fraud division and they're going after this scammer.  Call Wachovia's 800- 922-4684 and report it.  Wachovia wants to know!

Just got an identical text message on my work phone.  Said the same thing as Sean's. They say they are a 24 hour service.  We do have accounts with Wachovia but they don't have my work number.  Wonder what is going on.

They say they are Wachovia, but they ask for your account info without giving a reason why. I got the message as a text and i do have a wachovia account. The text said as follows "customer issue, wachovia service frozen, please call at 609-270-0457"
