Called me in 931 area code (Tennessee) at 1941 hours on on 6/28/07 and they eventually hung up after 2 minutes of saying nothing.

You cannot just hang up or not pick up bc the policy is to keep calling until someone is reached.  They are not selling anything, they are just doing research for other companies, including Social security, medicare, political surveys, news surveys... As a research company, there is no do not call list so asking to be taken off the list will not do anything, just ask not to be called back.  And insulting them isn't insulting because they are generally students who could only get a job there and it adds interest to the job.  If you want them to stop calling, ask. Better yet, sing a song.
PS, their computers sometimes get screwy (the numbers are called by computers) and a number will not be put on dont call back so if this happens, suggest that they set a call back date months from then because the survay will be over by then.

They say "The do not call registry does not apply to us"
WELL,why would you think you would receive polite honest
cooperation from someone on the do not call list?
They do not want to be called regardless!
So its very doubtful you would get anywhere with people
on the no call list. Why waste your money and time calling
such people? thats just being stupid.

They keep calling even after being asked to stop. I'm on the DoNotCall registry!!

ive researched this company before and others, I can tell you why it its perfectly legal for them to call you even if you are in the No Call List. Since this comapany,as well as others out there, they consider themselfs a  Reasearch Telemartketing company. The no call list applys the telemarketer is selling you anything. But since braun research is a research company the law dosent apply to them. not only do insurance company use this company for their research but Fox news and CNN use these  company and others to see political views in the nation. Best way to make them stop calling you really is to answer the phone and say "sir can you please take me off you list" if you keep hanging up on them, by policy they will keep on calling until they hear a a clear rejection. or you can do what i do, insult them, their mother and the company and that should leave a clear messege of rejection.

I had been seeing this number on my ID for a week or so. Called today - Saturday - in the mid afternoon. He wanted to me to participate in a survey and I told him no thank you. Then he insisted - saying he wasn't selling anything. I cut him off and told him NO - I was busy with kids and would not do it today or any other time and asked him to take me off his calling list. I hung up before he could reply.

Got a call from this number on the West Coast (8:02 pm PST) I didn't get to the phone soon enough to answer - call went to voicemail, no message left.

Called several times during the evening (around 8pm) - never leaves a v-mail.  I tried calling the number back and got a recorded message saying I had been randomly selected for a "telephone survey research project".  The message says something to do with it being important to American commerce and thanking me for my time ... however they will not be getting any of my time.  I really don't appreciate unsolicited calls, especially not in the evening and at weekends!

Called a few times at about 5 PM - no message left.  Call back was recorded message for "telephone survey research project".

Called every day at approximately 5:00, even on the weekends.  After the fifth call I threatened to file a police report, if they call a 6th time, I certainly will.

CALLED TWICE FIRST TIME NO ONE ANSWERED NEXT TIME SAID IT WAS A SURVER AND I HUNG UP

After weeks of these hang up phone calls, I contacted the Better Business Bureau of New Jersey and filled out a form they sent me.  They told me that they had only received one complaint about the company, so I suggest you might want to look into adding your complaints.

Supposedly a survey re. "convenience stores".  They woke my wife from her nap (yeah, what a life).  In her defense, she was "groggy" but she did say she gave her age.  After my s__tf_t, she "can't remember" what other questions she answered.  I only hope they were violating the "do not call list" to try to sell something vs. phishing for missing ID data.

This is a telemarketing scam that is supposed to represent newbenefits in medicare coverage,but in reality is an insurance company trying to sell you some kind of trash that will not take the place of medicare,be careful they are scam artists.

Thyot Do Not Call list was supposed to knock this off. They ought to take the number out of business!

Ok, listen up. I hate these dirt bags as much as the next guy. Here's the info on the company that's most probably using the 609-279-2122. It is Braun Research, 221 Wall Street, Princeton, NJ 08540. The manager is Dennis Oshman. Their business number is 609-279-1600. Turn about is fair play isn't it? I'm going to call them and tell them I'll sue their rearends off if they ever call me again. I'm on the do not call list and I'm calling the FTC to report them. I suggest others call them and the FTC and tell them what you think. Scumbags.....

Got a call from this number at work......they hung right up when I answered. I REALLY hate that!!!!

This number called my office line, I answered on the 2nd ring, no one ever said a thing. I said hello like 3 times, finally I heard them hang up.
I tried to call it back, and at first it was busy, then I got a recording saying that I had been chosen for a survey and to remain on the line. Of course I hung up!

I don't even see any way of getting on the do not call list for these b*****ds.  They call my business lines and tie them up 10 times a day and just hang up.  Call the number, and you get that crappy recording... No info about a do not call list, nothing..

Tried to call back and got a recorded message saying that I've been selected to participate in a poll survey.  Ignore this call and get 10 calls a day from this number.  My phone number is on the do not call list and I still get this one calling.

Called and hung up.
Tried to call back but line busy.

Been called twice by this number just to have them hang up once phone answered.
