You mean stalker?  There's a huge difference.  A stocker is a person who works at the 7-11 or Food Lion putting s*** on the shelves during the 12am - 7am shift when there's no one around but the perverts and weirdos.  A stalker is someone (like a pervert or weirdo) that  takes part in "...a distinctive form of criminal activity composed of a series of actions that taken individually might constitute legal behavior. For example, sending flowers, writing love notes, and waiting for someone outside her place of work are actions that, on their own, are not criminal. They called me on a ? date ?? and they left a voicemail that was only 2 seconds long but it sounded like a planes ?? propellers the whole time. Weird... ?   ?   ?

These jerks at this number need to know that impersonating a federal agent is a federal offense! I'm glad you folks out there realize that if the FBI were indeed so deeply concerned about your personal safety, they would NOT be attempting to sell you security devices over the phone, but would be sending armed agents to your door, UNANNOUNCED, to whisk you away to some safe house (under the Federal Witness Protection Program, or some such).  Again, these jerks at this number need to be caught and prosecuted! They called me just today - cannot believe they're still in operation!

Robo claiming that the FBI reports there is a break-in every 15secs blah blah blah. Trying to scam you into buying a security system.

These are typical "Home Security" scammers.  Best ignored.  Today their caller ID characters were   "CUSTOMER SERV".  They are criminals who ignore the DNC list.

Started receiving these calls shortly after actually getting a home security system. Cameras by Foscam, who I've heard mines your information. Guess it's true!

What is the point of War Dialing? I get a lot of hang ups or when it hits my answering machine there is a dial tone... on my land line at home (yes I still have one). I am not entirely sure what the point of that is.

My time is way more precious to me and I wouldn't spend it chasing down some random phone caller...don't answer it! Hit ignore!

Got a call on my cell from this number. I typically Google numbers that I don't recognize and found all this.
There was no message left and it was only one call. After reading all the posts, I did not attempt to call the number back. Hopefully it will be a one and done deal. :)

Got a call today 1/8 at 11.06 AM. Such an annoyance. Same message.

Who would do business with anyone in this manner?  Telemarketers are the stupidest people on the planet.

Yes, part of NCO Group, Allied Interstate network. Yes, predatory business practices that just calling them doesn't stop. Disclosure, nondisclosure, disguised as whatever. Constant harassing calls to family, friends, elderly, and children. They are not professional or ethical, they are a bunch of cowards disguised as "just doing their jobs."

Telemarketer selling Alarm systems.  I pressed one so they would call me back.  I am going to invite them out to the house and say 'no thanks' when they get to the door.  When they piss and moan about it I will just let them know they called me first.  And the phone is now ringing from 312-273-1588

Sera - that is unfortunately a useless gesture.  They will have changed their number long before your police will have been able to follow up with anything meaningful.  Every time these scammers change their phone number the clock is reset.  All you've done is confirm for the scammers that your phone number goes to a live person; you'll likely get even more scam calls soon.

If you report the number to the National Do Not Call registry, the telemarketers will be charged $17,000 for each time they call you after that.

Calls my cellphone but doesn't leave a voicemail. I don't bother picking it up if its not someone I know!

Just call the number choose option 2 and you will be placed on their do not call list. They will not call you any more if you do so.
