I get calls from this number once or twice per day at my business.  The caller ID is GPI.  They never leave a message.  I never answer.  I terminated my Direct TV account 4 years ago because I couldn't watch TV when it snowed.  I've no idea why they are phoning me now, but I'm not answering the questions that are indicated in these other posts.

They keep calling and I keep telling them they have the wrong #. But I am tired of getting harrassed. Now is time to turn the tables on them. Time to have a little fun and harrass them. When they call I just simply become the most perviest person ever. Make them feel so uncomfortable that they will hang up. I know they have to write that info down on their logs. I have a feeling aventually they will remove my info from their system.

They asked my 9 year old to verify our address. they call more than twice a day. i disconnected my service months ago with no penalty fees. they contibued to charge me even after i got another cable provider.

I keep getting calls at my work number.  Nobody ever says anything.  They just hang up.  Sometimes they call 4 times in one day.  I finally called the number back and told them to stop calling our business and to take us off their calling list.  They answer as CBA Group, which I had no idea who that was.

calls all day and night 7 to 15 calls. I do not have, nor have I had, DirectTV.

They have now called me 4 times in one day. This is ridiculous. I don't have DirecTV, never did. And now, I can definitely say I never will.

I keep getting called from this number also. It appears that it is DirectTV. I was getting calls from a different number last week that was also DirectTV. I do not have, nor have I had, DirectTV. The annoying thing is that when I did answer, they said "This call is for so-and-so. If you are not so-and-so, hang up." I did. They keep calling back. So.....WHY!? dumb!!

I keep getting calls from 609-373-1951. No Message is left.

In case anybody needs it or is interested, this is the letter that I sent to DirecTv:

You have billed me for early termination fees. I was told by an authorized telephone representative DirectTV that I would not be charged early termination fees if I suspended the account. I relied on that conversation.

I am not going to pay this amount. It is not supported by our contract. I have not terminated the service. Further, you did not notify me in advance that I was in danger of being charged this amount.

I have learned that a class action suit has been filed on this subject against Direct TV. The attorneys in the case are Schneider, Wallace Cottrell Brayton Konecky LLP.  I will contact Schneider, Wallace Cottrell Brayton Konecky LLP regarding their representing me in this matter in 30 days unless you take this amount off my bill and send me a statement to the effect that you are cancelling my service without charge to me, and that you will not enter derogatory information about me with a credit agency.

Yes she is right. It is a vilotation of the F.D.C.P.A for them to contact you by phone/mail if you send in a written Cease and Desist. I work for a collection law firm, so of course they stopped calling me. Try it, I promise it will work. If it doesnt, sue them. It's worth it :)

I keep getting phone calls from this number on weekdays....

It is a collection agency. Apparently Direct TV doesn't keep good track of who pays their bills. They keep calling my cell phone and asking for another person. I tell them they got the wrong person/wrong number, but they keep calling and calling and calling.

By the way, they also use the number 301-882-9927

Thank God this isn't just happening to me!  They keep calling me too and I've never even had DirecTV.  I get the number 301-882-9927 all the time on my phone but today I got (609) 373-1951 for the first time.  I never answer.

I get calls from both of those numbers... and when I try to call it back, it does not go through.  Thanks for creating this thread... I have Comcast.. HA!  Idiots...

DirecTV's collection agency. They will never get a dime from me.

DirecTv has a class action suit filed against them for these ridiculous early termination penalties they try to impose on you.  I explained that I'm out of state indefinitely for my job-they told me to place my account on suspension-THEN they told me the suspension expired-THEN they apologized and removed the termination fees and THEN they RE-APPLIED them and referred me to a collection agency. SOOOOO I have written to them advising them that I have asked to be included in the class action suit and they are STILL harrassing me! They are TOTAL dirt bags!

they keep calling my sell phone, have used both 6093731915 & 3018829927 #'s

I got 2 calls from this number while I was at work in a meeting with my boss. It almost got me in trouble

Glad to see it's not just happening to me!  I'm tired of these people calling my cell phone during the day.

FDCPA: NEXT TIME THEY CALL, GET A NAME AND ADDRESS FOR THE COMPANY. NOTE THE DATE ADN TIME THEY CALL. SEND THEM A LETTER STATING THAT YOU DO NOT WISH TO HAVE ANY FURTHER COMMUNICATION WITH THEIR COMPANY. MAKE SURE TO LIST YOUR NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. BY FEDERAL LAW 95-109 THEY MUST STOP ALL COMMINICATION WITH YOU. MAKE SURE TO MAIL IT TO THEM CERTIFIED MAIL, AND YOU WIL GET A CARD BACK TO PROVE THAT THEY GOT IT AND IT WILL SHOW WHO SIGNED FOR IT. IF THEY DONT STOP CALLING, FILE COMPAINT WITH FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION. GOOD LUCK

AMEN, Same here they have to be stopped & here is where we should all report them to! Read down through the article & it tells where to report them to. I'm doing it tomorrow!!! Yes, I had the awful satelite service & returned their boxes which now I wish I could have pissed on 1st. They charged me 700 for a month of service & early disconnection fee. Hope they rot in hell

I owe nothing and have never had direct tv, so not sure where they are getting the call lust from but I also think must be some sort of scam. Will see if I can get the # blocked great idea thanks

Debt collectors are not allowed to call you more then1x a day. They are violating FDCPA & can be majorly sued for this. They sound like horrible collectors & the company will soon be shut down because of so many FDCPA violations if they keep it up.
