I just got a call from them and called back but got a machine.  Decided to google the number and I found this site.  Thank you very much I will not be answering it anymore and will pass this around.

Received a phone call from this number today. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize so it went to voicemail. Message: "hello, airy, my name is Nadia. Please give me a call back at 609 557 5959. I searched and this is the first page I found. It definitely makes sense that they are a bottom feeder collection agency. I was a few months delinquent on a surcharge lately and received notice two days after paying in full that my fine had already been sent to this collection agency (I have a notice from them as well). However I PAID the DMV so these people will be receiving nothing but my finger proverbially pointing over the phone!

Also interesting to note that the DMV had sent a notice that if I did not pay by MARCH 15, THEN my debt would be sent to collectors. It's only march 11...I paid my dues feb. 9 or so and. received the notice of collection in mid-feb! Ridiculous...

It is the New Jersey Surcharge Violation System.  The call you are recieving is from someone (anyone) within the Collections department. They are not Motor Vehicles but they work with them.

THIS PEOPLE KEEP CALLING MY NUMBER I THEY JUST LEAVE MESSAGES FOR ME TO CALL BACK I DO AND NOBODY ANSWERS IT IS REALLY ANNOYING!!

The woman's name is Gloria Smith and she is with the DMV - She can hardly speak a work of English and doesn't know what the heck she is talking about but that is her job!  And to think us Americans are out of work.  She's as stupid as the day is long and she craps things up more often that she fixes them.  I don't know why - but it's like she's the only one who handles the surcharges and usually she's "away from her desk".  Go figure.....

Keeps calling and leaving voicemails looking for someone. I call back and it says if you don't know the extension it will take you to representative. It then says line is busy and takes you back to the opening message that you have reached "ACS MTRWT SERVICES". Says the same thing about transferring you. Then it says goodbye and hangs up. I googled that name and found nothing. This is so annoying.

I keep getting messages. Probably 7 by now. They always ask for Derek and it's always a different person calling. I called the number and it's a voicemail service...Is this a scam?

I have received several calls from this number harassing me about NJMVC surcharges. I never got a ticket in my life. I called the NJMVC and can never get a person on the phone. The people that call from 609-557-5959 are extremely rude. I told the man on the phone I do not have a surcharge and he starting screaming at me and saying YES YOU DO. He said GIVE ME YOUR DRIVER LICENSE #. I said NO, and hung up. The first time they called and said they were LCD, the second time LDD, this time it was ACS.....I think they are scaming to steal peoples identities. One more call from them and I am calling the police!

I keep getting calls from 609-557-5959, because they do not leave messages I don't know what they want.

Same number just called my cell about 10 minutes ago. The name on the message was Claudia Smith and her english left a lot to be desired. She used only my first name but said to call her back.

Got a call asking for "Courtney", said it was the wrong number. Woman on the other line hung up immediately.

Got a cali on Sat morning, was enough stupid to call them back: automatic secretary. Did you identefy who are them?

Recieved a voice message from this number A woman saied call back to 609-557-5981. When called back a voice mail want you leave message.

They alled 3x before 9 AM on a Saturday morning. Saw caller ID as ACS, I did not answer the call.They left no messages.

Whoever it is has been calling for close to a year now.Every few weeks to a month.They call very early many times,hang up if you answer and do not answer if you call them.

I RECEVIED A CALL FROM 6095575959, IN MY CALLER ID SAYS LAWRENCE TOW NJ, MANY TIMES, TWO WEEKS  AGO A FEMALE ANSWER AND TOLD ME THAT SHE WAS CALLING FROM MOTOR VEHICLE SUBCHARGE DEPT. TO MAKE AN ARRAGEMENT, THE SUSPECIOUS PART IS WHY IT SAYS TOW, IF THEY REALLY ARE CALLING FROM INSURANCE SUBCHARGES, SUPPOSTED TO BE FROM DMV OR STATE NUMBER RIGHT, I GONNA REPORT THIS NUMBER TO THE AUTHORITIES, AND SEE WHAT COMES OUT.

I been getting calls from this number from the past few days & i don't pick up since I dont recognize it. They never leave a message so I guess its not important.

They are a collections agency. Ask for their address and then send them a certified letter stating that you only deal with the original party whom they claim you owe. full explanation go to this link:

They are doing the same thing to me. I live in CA now but I grew up in Jersey. I am going to call them back in order to get them to give me an address where I can mail the money they say I owe them. Once I get the address we will be able to file a formal complaint against them.
