This number is for the St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network Billing Department.  This billing department is responsible for the FACILITY charges incurred for services received: outpatient, inpatient, emergency room, pre-admission testing, lab, radiology, or any of St. Luke's URGENT CARE centers etc.

This department will call if:
1 - your insurance company denies your claims
2 - you have an outstanding copay / coinsurance / deductible
3 - incomplete, incorrect, or no insurance was given at time of your visit

I called the number, and got billing at St. Luke's...they wanted to remind us of an outstanding laboratory bill we had overlooked. They said they had sent two bills, and gave the date, but we could only find one bill, and it was dated on another date altogether. But, since it was for the proper date of service, we paid it.

We have endless problems with our medical bills. Geisinger Gold is a highly rated Medicare Advantage plan, but we have had nothing but trouble since we got it. They do not send my husband EOBs, which are needed to make sure the bills are correct. They send 'em to me, but not to him. Never mind, I  have called time and again to ask them to send his EOBs, but they never do. Now, today, they told me, after a year of asking for them to send the EOBs that every health insurance company just does automatically, that Medicare always did without fail, that they cannot send them because of the HIPPA (federal "privacy" scam act) unless he calls to ask for them. NOBODY should have ask for them, and it has nothing to do with HIPPA, and nobody ever told me that all the other times I called, they said they would do it. They also told me after a year of calls that they cannot complete the mailing address omission I have been calling about for over a year, because of HIPPA. Cain't hardly wait for Obamacare to kick in, with the kind of nonsense we go through now, it can only get worse.

St. Luke's are  not debt collectors, and they are not telemarketers, they are reminding us about a bill, so the only one I can pick is "event reminder".
