At 3:30 pm Wednesday May 21, 2014 I got a phone call from 612-257-4631 claiming to be from Alpine Auto Glass. Asking if I or anyone I know needed glass replacement or chipped glass repairs. I said "No" they asked are you sure and I said "No Thank you". Then I asked, "May I have your number please, so I can call you if and when I do". They gave me same number they called with that showed up on Caller ID. I asked where they were Located and they said "Twin Cities" ... and then the phone went dead. I tried to call them back with the number they gave me, to get more if information to see how big of scam they were or possible real savings they may provide. First, I got a busy single and I then tried calling again, But all I got was an automated machine saying: "Your call can not be completed as dialed, please check the number and dial it again". !!!

Caller asked if I have any cracked auto glass. Caller ID said "Name unavailable."

I have a Sentry Call-Blocker which informs the caller that if they are a Telemarketer to hang up and remove my number from their call list. The phone will ONLY ring IF a live person presses Zero. My phone rang and when I picked it up, the person on the other end hung up. I checked the internet and discovered that this company that called me was Alpine Glass even though the Caller ID only said "Name Unavailable." Not only are they violating the Do Not Call List by cold calling me in the first place, they are violating the Do Not Call List by pressing Zero when the Sentry informs them that I am not interested in Telemarketing calls. I refuse to do business with any company that cols calls me.

Alpine Glass is violating the DNC list, by "cold calling" people who have never done business with them, such as myself. I would not trust this company to perform any auto glass replacement because they are knowingly violating the law. Crooks!

Do what I did- file a complaint with the FTC for do not call violations. Don't worry, it only takes about 30 seconds.

Two things. One: If I needed my windshield replaced I wouldn't call someone two hours away. Two, if you were a reputable company, or trying to be, wouldn't you want your name to show up on people's caller ID's instead on "unknown caller"?

They call me and say "This is Michelle at Alpine Glass and ask if i have a broken windshield and when i say no they hang up.

Alpine Glass - they called in rapid repeatedly minutes apart. I told the rep to take me off their calling list, he repeated my number back to me and said he would take me off the list right away.

Ed M. This time you want the Gov to intervene next time you want the Gov to stay out of your business. Can't have it both ways fella....

Regardless of their service quality, telemarketing people in violation of the DNC is not professional, nor is using a number that cannot be called back. If they have to call people randomly and ask if they need a new windshield to get business, they're not someone I'd use if I did need a windshield.

Calling daily -- can't call them back, because the number is not in service. Does anyone have a phone number for them, or a website? I cannot find one listed, and if they were reputable, there would be a way of contacting them.

Government should stay out of the bedroom anyway. Leave gays alone.

You go to call this # bacxk (612) 257-4631 it saus # not recognized. The Damm Gov can stop these people from this, but they rather have Gays marring each other, AFTER We Vote them NOT To. Grow up Gov!

I just received a call from "Brad" at Alpine Glass. I am on the DNC list. I also just filed a complaint with the donotcall.gov, providing detail call information. This company has called me before and since they did not respect my wishes to stop calling, I filed the complaint. Very easy to do. I highly recommend filing the simple complaint if you get a call from a company that should not be calling if you are listed on DNC list.

612-257-4631 "Minnesota" call...no message. Telemarketer!!!

Even if you have in the past or are currently doing business with a company, the DNC DOES APPLY if you tell them to "Remove me from your call list"
If they fail to comply, they can be fined.

I have had good results with Alpine Glass for a couple windshield replacements in past years. They usually call once a year to see if I need a chip repaired, and if I tell them no, they do not call back for another year.
As I have dealt with them before, the DNC list does not apply. They have always been pleasant and professional when talking.

Always call at mealtime. I don't answer they don't leave a message. I answered once and told them I am on the DO NOT CALL list. He just laughed and kept talking.
This is Alpine Glass. They have a bad history. Google Alpine Glass MN.

Got a call from this number at 9:45 am this morning. Other postings identify it as from a window replacement company. What part of DO NOT CALL do they not understand?
If I want something, I'll look for it. Don't appreciate being interrupted for cold calls from telemarketers.
Any company that has to resort to cold calls is at best not established and probably inexperienced. More likely, however, is that they not providing enough satisfactory service or products needed to build a good reputation.
Beware of cold callers!
