got text saying she was interested in my motorcycle I posted on craigslist. she (or he) then asked if it looked anything like the photo she text me. couldn't open the photo but I knew it was a fraud because I posted 4 photo's of the bike along with the ad. why the need to ask me if it looked like her photo? SCAM and red lights went on! I google every number i get in response now to any ads I place on craigslist. the safest way in the future is to request "NO TEXT"...phone calls only....and the safest is to respond through Craigslist reply to seller. I will never open any text again for any item I sell on craigslist. I refuse to communicate through phone text with anything I sell in the future...PERIOD!

This is a clever virus, having the called pretending to be interested to buy your listing via CL. The number is fake and there is some kind of virus if you attempt to download the photo they sent you.

I also posted a wanted ad on craigs. Got a text 5 a.m this morning saying hi regarding the 'wanted' add on craigslist does this work for you then a link to some pictures. My phone was unable to open and the page suggested to try it on a pc. Well being fairly new to a smart phone and even texting(I know how embarrassing) I tried to download the pic viewer gimp. Luckily my pc's anti-virus blocked the download. Looking back now that I'm awake and more alert, the text looks very fake and generic. All the red flags u would look for in a craigs scam. If you download gimp the only thing gimping will be your pc.

Got a call from this number right after posting on craigs list for a wanted item They sent pics and I couldnt view them so I want to computer to download the viewer not knowing. It tried to scramble my PC so I delted the whole thing then restored my computer. Dont down load from the link you get! Danger!

"Hi about the Wanted ad in craigslist will this work for you?" then there is a link...

Apparently from other posters with different numbers, this is a virus download if you try to get the gmp viewer. Go to www.gimp.org for the real picture editor!
