I have no prescriptions what-so-ever and just got this call today. My guess is that somebody at Target puts in phone numbers incorrectly or it is a marketing dept.

I get calls from this number all the time...I never answer because it does not have a name on my caller ID...and I don't have any prescriptions with Target of any kind!  So why do they keep calling me?!!!

Not really strange.  It's a courtesy call. . . after all - we all forget once in awhile.  Even perfect people.

You can request they send you text messages. More information and delivered as soon as the scrip is ready, not several days later.

I got a call too.  Very annoying, as it does not leave a message, so I was not picking up my messages from Target and not getting my refills.  Now at least I know, who it is and why they are calling.

Telemarketer
I appreciate the call regarding "my prescription", however, I've never been to a Target pharmacy nor had one called into Target.  That being said, I view these calls as unsolicited telemarketing harassment.

I know Target's HQ is in Minnesota....but shouldn't the number that comes up be the number from your local store where you get your refills?  I just came home and this number was on my caller ID.  We do not have any refills out for pick-up.

i do not HAVE any pharmie relationship with Target and never have.  I do, however, have a tracfone and i'm wondering if i'm getting several "messages" per week in the hopes that i will burn minutes calling these robo-numbers back for no useful reason at all.....and then i wonder if my assigned number is being given out for expressly this purpose.

Incorrect....  I got the call yesterday and today, and I am definitely waiting long enough and am almost screaming "HELLO".  Obviously there's an issue with the auto dialer or recording etc...  No big deal though, I'll just go in and pick up my Rx.

I have no problem with Target calling about my refills but I do have a problem with showing UNKNOWN NAME on my caller ID as wellas an area code I dont recognize. We get LOTS of unknown calls and like most everyone I know...wont answer. They have all been telemarketers or scams.

Apparently this is a reminder pharmacy (Target) call line to report rx's ready etc!  But we have none pending and why no audio verbal message?

No scam. As other callers have said, it's my local Target pharmacy. However, the caller ID idiotically says only OUT OF AREA, so I never pick up. They do leave a message. Guess I'll have to memorize this number as I've been adding unwanted call numbers to my "Blocked Numbers" list on the Panasonic cordless phones.

I keep getting a call from Target to my phone number which is 919-609-6413.  Can you stop it OR give me the phone number of THAT Target's phone number so I can call them and straighten this out.  Thank you kindly.  Pat   (poe1005@cox.net)

Yes, it's Target's automated service to let you know you or someone in your household has a pharmacy prescription ready for pick up. Target is based in a Minneapolis suburb...I want to say Edina, MN. but not sure.

Leaving a message here for a company to remove you form their list shows how naive you are.
This is a site where people let others know about calls they are receiving.

This site is in no way affiliated with Target or any of the other callers.  If you want your number removed, call your local target pharmacy and tell them they have the wrong number.

If it's a different number/company calling you, you can ask them to remove you.  If they do not, report them on donotcall.gov.  Leaving a comment on a site like does nothing to remove you from the list.

This IS Target calling, but it is NOT your local Target pharmacy. It is from Target's corporate office and the caller ID DOES Come through on some phones. If you don't want a phone call, request to be notified by email.

try calling the pharmacy to have your number removed, could be just one number typed in wrong when they added a new person.

Okay...to set the record straight....this is NOT a scam. It is Target's corporate automated system. The reason it doesn't say "Target Pharmacy" is because the number is not exclusively used by the pharmacy. It is a PHONE COMPANY glitch that it does not say "Target" for everyone's CID because it DOES show up as "Target" for some people (mine does), but not for everyone.
IF you are receiving these calls in error, call your LOCAL pharmacy and they should be able to search by your number. If the person it brings up IS NOT YOU, they are supposed to REMOVE IT from that person's profile!  If they refuse, ask to speak to the pharmacist and THEY will remove it. Believe it or not, we DO get prescriptions from doctors that were supposed to go to different pharmacies and we fill them based on the information sent so if the doctor sends your name & phone #, we WILL have you on file.
Also, BY FEDERAL LAW, the message CANNOT leave information regarding the name or medication for the precious reason (wrong number, wrong person, etc). This is so someone else can't come pick up your prescription without your knowledge. Imagine how upset you'd be if someone else got YOUR automated call for YOUR painkiller and came to pick it up. With your name & phone number, a simple google search can find your address so they come in and say "Joe Schmo sent me to pick up his Vicodin"...we ask to verify your address and, thanks to google, he has it, so we give it to him. An hour later, you come in and it's gone. LEGALLY, we did everything right because he had all of your info, but now you can't get your medication because we just dispensed it and there's no way to prove you don't know the guy who was in an hour earlier. See the issue?
Tommy Dale, I suspect you called the wrong # because this is a 100% automated system from a corporate office, so A) there's nobody there to answer the call and b) there are no prescriptions on site in the corporate offices.

Hmmm, how can you tell who is calling? ANSWER THE PHONE! And once you know who is calling you could add that number to your contacts list so that when it calls again it'll identify. Of course, you could always block a number too. If it's important the caller will probably call you back again. If not, maybe it was a misdial, oh my, GASP, heaven forbid people make mistakes! Also, you could simply DIAL the number back and see how it's answered/ask who it is that called your number. What are we coming to that we are afraid to answer our own phones? Just practice saying, "who is this"; "why are you calling", "I'm not interested", "pease don't call this number again", "you have the wrong number, you've dialed XXX-XXXX but that person is not associated with my number...", and so on.

Last, but not least, if you are using a pay-as-go phone and don't wish to pay for an unknown call, then you might keep a log of all calls to see if any of them calls often enough that perhaps it is legitimate. Afterall, you give out your phone number for people to call you. Then you could add that number with a name to your contacts list so that it'll identify. If it's a repeated wrong number and you cannot block it, you could use (borrow) a phone that doesn't cost you, go to a pay phone (if you can find one) and call the number back and ask to be removed from their calls because they are calling a wrong number, etc.. You could also label the call in your contacts list as 'unknown b****ole' and never answer when it rings in. There you go, that's all I've got.

This is NOT a scam but it IS Target Pharmacy, and there is NOTHING to be AWARE of - sheesh!! And why are people so paranoid just to answer their own phones, anyway? I don't get that. How can answering a call harm you? Just answer the call and if you don't like who it is calling, say 'good-bye, have to hurry'...or 'don't ever call this number again', and then hang up! And if it's a telemarketer, just hang up and don't even worry about doing that. You know, sometimes there are new callers to your number and not everyone will leave a message... so just answer the damn call! BFD!
