My loan is current.  I have no idea what they want.

ASC Mortgage Servicing 612-312-6600 is a servicer for Wells Fargo.  Representatives at Wells Fargo are not very knowledgeable about companies they are associated with.  Phone reps are not educated on which companies do the servicing for them, so don't be surprised if a Wells Fargo representative does not know about ASC Mortgage being their servicer because they are a division of Wells Fago.

I hate to tell you guys this, but ASC Mortgage Servicing (612-312-6600) is a division of Wells Fargo.  I use to work for a law firm on foreclosures and all codes for this company were for Wells Fargo.  They are a servicing company for Wells Fargo which means they service the loan, collect late payments and work out arrangements.  It is a legit collection call.

Wells Fargo put us through a minimum of 18 months of fun in their HAMP program.  We are 10 years into a 30 year loan at 6&7/8's percent interest.  Finally when we had endured being kicked out of the program again and again and at least a large metropolitan area sized phone book (when they used to be big books) of paperwork and documented over 200 times of communication via fax and phone.  We were offered a solution, basically it was letting us be behind for 90 days, and the solution was a new 30 year loan at 6&7/8's and adding 8K in principal  to the current loan and starting anew.  What a joke, we have already paid close to 200K in interest and they thought we would want another 8K in principal and to start a new loan of 30 years from scratch at 6&7/8s....  We sd. No thanks.  With our payment being less than 2K per month, the Wells Fargo solution definitely tried to take advantage of us.

Receive calls from this number several times a day, every day of the week.  The only research I can find is that it is a private number located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Recieve a call from this number and it stated that it was calling from my mortgage company. We are trying to get a modification of our mortgage payment. But them calling my work was a no go and I told that to the person that I talked to. So now they have called 3 times and it is getting very annoying. When I googled this number I found out that there are blogs all over the place about this and it is the same number and connected to Wells Fargo. Just thought you would like to know.
They said they were collecting a debt, but my payments are up to date, so if they keep calling I am going to report them.

Received a call from this number today 612-312-6600
Caller states that he is calling from Wells Fargo stating that my mortage is late and wanting to know do I wish to set up  automatic  payments  also  wanting to verify my personal information. I terminated the phone call. I then called WFargo on their reg number and was informed that the call was initiated from the collections dept, no my mortgage was not late at this time nor had it been for the previous months. In my ten years with WF I have never received a call. I informed the caller that I would be reporting them to the Office of the Comptroller of the finance Dept, as I had done so previously    he then gave me a fax number to  send my complaint. Attn  correspondence dept the number is 1-866-278-1179
WFargo is one of the banks that was assisted with the "bail out" money and should not be harassing hard working people who are trying to survive.

I was only one month late on my mortgage with Wells Fargo. I called to see if they could do something to help me out, so I wouldn't have to pay late charges every month, since there was no way I could catch up.  I thought that they could change the due date & add the payment to the back end of the loan. They told me about the Wells Fargo MODIFICATION program.  He told me NOT to make payments for 4 months; he could only help me when I was that far behind.  Foolishly I listed to him, while at the same time the Wells Fargo Collection Dept. continued to call.  I repeatedly told them that I was working with John in the Modification Dept.

Short of it was that at the same time I was working with them in the Modification Dept, the Collection Dept began FORECLOSURE proceedings. I received one letter from an attorney that cost me $1500 for his fees, & basically I had to pay double my note for about 4-5 months to catch up or I'd lose my home!

Interest rates went down significantly, & I refinanced to get a 2% reduction in my interest rate.  When I told the company that handled the refinance that I told them I didn't want to have a mortgage with Wells Fargo, they told me that they couldn't control who bought the loan!

I fell down & actually cried when I got the letter in the mail to say Wells Fargo had bought my loan!!!

My personal mortgage is with Wells Fargo, but I happen to know for a fact that ASC is affilated w/Wells Fargo. You have to keep in mind that the telephone operator doesn't know everything Wells Fargo is doing outside of their call center. It's a huge company and the left hand defintely doesn't know what the right is doing! But I have personal experience doing a modification w/ASC, through Wells Fargo, so I know the info pasted below (found online) is accurate. Google it...

What is America?s Servicing Company?
America's Servicing Company (ASC) is a division of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage that services loans for other investors under the America?s Servicing Company name.
The vast majority of America?s Servicing Company mortgages were originated by other lenders, packaged into securities, and sold by those lenders into the secondary market.
As a result, Wells Fargo had no involvement in the origination or underwriting of the vast majority of loans serviced by America?s Servicing Company.
Why is this division of Wells Fargo called America?s Servicing Company?
America?s Servicing Company is the generic label used for this business because some of our competitors do not want the Wells Fargo name associated with their loans. By using the America?s Servicing Company name, we avoid this problem. America?s Servicing Company customers receive the same great level of service provided to customers with loans originated by Wells Fargo.
Why does Wells Fargo service these loans?
As a result of our strong track record of success in achieving the highest servicer ratings, companies seek our expertise when they need assistance in servicing their loans. Servicing loans for third parties is simply another business for Wells Fargo.
How can I contact America?s Servicing Company?
America?s Servicing Company can be contacted by phone at 800-842-7654.

Here it's *67 not #, but I always use that when calling these numbers back.

I just got a call from them as well. I have a WF mortgage but I am current on it so I am not sure what they want. I did not answer. They did leave a message with a different number to call back, but I will not be calling.

I just dialed this number with "call block" which means I dial #67 and then the number. That way, the other party is unable to see your phone number. Well, I called it and got a message: " The Wells Fargo number you called is not in service"  ..... and I called within minutes and it is not in service!!! NO way am I about to call any number and have my phone number "identifiable"!  Word to the wise------ use #67 before dialing any numbers and the other party will NOT see your phone number. This doesn't work on toll free numbers, unfortunately.  In that case , I dial #60 (blocks phone numbers you dial in) and even the toll free callers will stop.  At least until they get another number to use..... but it works most of the time.

Received this call several times the last couple of days. We are in the process of getting our loan modified through Wells Fargo. The weird thing is that they never leave a message. Also, according to the loss mitigation department, the only way to reach the person reviewing your file for the modification is via FAX or MAIL. What kind of crap is that? Who the hell uses faxes anymore? You would think they would try to help you to avoid a foreclosure.

i also got a call from this number 612-312-6600 and from reading this comments it seems this is a scam or something similar because i m current with my mortage loan so i will be very careful on returning this people calls and giving them any personal info. and it seems that they are targeting people that have or had had a wells fargo home loan. i think if they need to contact someone first they will leave a message then after several attemps they will mailed a letter. so to be on the safe side is better to call them directly(wells fargo) and find out from them directly.

Apparently a mortgage company.  Got the standard "please hold for an important message" but actually had a human come on the line before the message finished.  Sad part is the human claimed the number dialed wasn't mine.  Not sure if the human was BSing me or if someone out there forwarded their phone number to mine because they got tired of being harassed.

Yes, DC I just had the same situation happen to me.  I usually pay with my first paychek of the month. There is a 15 day grace period. today is the 3rd. they called me to "remind" me of my payment....really I said...because I always miss my payment? She said it was just updating information and calling to remind me of their policy....that payments are DUE on the 1st...  OK....I just think they are worried about more people defaulting on thier loan..She started out with this is attempt to collect a debt....you know, that sentence they have to say....Stupid banks!!!!! it is their own fault for loaning to unqualified people!

Just received a call and message - Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.  I'm current so I called them back.  It is now their policy to call to "remind" you of your current payment the 2nd day after the payment is due even though you have 15 days to pay before you get hit with a late charge.  Once you call them back, they mark the account and they don't call back unless you go past the 15 days.
