This is a Wells Fargo call that is not legitimate. It is against the law to call you for collection purposes when they are using a computer generated human language voice. They know this is against the law but some high profile companies seem to think they can get away with it. But they have a big surprise coming in the form of a Class Action suit.

I rcvd calls today from 877-670-9657  they don't leave a message, I called them but the number is disconn...My tel number is a private non listed number... (so they somehow called my cell phone).... but they don't say anything when I answer , nor leave a mess when I don't answer.... ... so I waited for them to call again and I told them I called the police, my cell phone company, and the phone company, and I'm filing charges... they (of course) hung up, and haven't called since.......I called them from my cell phone but their number is disconnected (the recording I got was the number is disconnected)..... It's not a legit call, or company.....  why call, but not say anything? why not leave a message... or even when I answer, they don't say anything, just hang up.... so I had them blocked, and yes they've been reported.... My husband works for the police... It's a kid or a cyber stalker, but def not a legit co, nor call...... .

HAHA over 2 years later they call me again!!

They call me three to four times a week on my cell phone, I now recognize the number and allow it to go to voice mail but it is driving me crazy.

I think the real issue here is how unprofessionally Well Fargo is acting. Then again, when your service quality has been in the gutter for years and continuing to drop, where else can you go?

Wells Fargo hasn’t  got a clue how this should be done professionally. Listening to Amy makes you think she is in a Nigerian rip-off boiler room reading prepared scrip to try and get you to call them.

WF could have first checked their records to see if the person they are calling even has a mortgage with them, they do not.

WF could have had a real person make the call, using the name of the person they want to talk to, showing they know who they want to talk to, they do not.

WF could configure their phone call system to where after you listen to the message, you can press a key and stop further calls, they do not.

WF could send you a letter with all the information they have, showing they have a case. They do not. Then again, when “Blind Robo Calls” all the hallmark of your sullied name, where else can you go?

Anyone with a WF account or considering a WF account should ask themselves, “Would you buy a used car from WF?”

Don't get mad, get even. File a complaint with the Federal Do Not Call site. Lets see how WF likes getting calls from the Feds who do not play these childish games.

The answer is obvious. Find a professional financial institution to give your business. Neighborhood credit unions are a great place to bank compared to WF.

I got a call claiming from Chase... I returned the call and voice record said Chase, but did not have any options, etc. A man answers asking personal info... I told him I will not give any additional info than what he has as I have NO way to verify if you are legit Chase... He claims, your account has a problem and without said info I cannot give you the information. I told him, I will close my account and will go to the bank tomorrow and hang up.

Next day, I went to Chase and they had no record of anyone from Chase trying to reach...

get a android phone or something that you can send it to voice mail or block... new ones are out

I am on the DNC list. Why is this happening?

Spoke with a supervisor at Wells Fargo.  This is not a legit call from them.  Do NOT give out any info.  They told us they would be asking the Attorney General to look into it.

They called twice today. I don't have a mortgage or any other account with Wells Fargo and probably never will if this is the way they operate.

The number is from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage- Collections Dept.

This number calls at least twice daily and has for the past six months.  We have no affiliation with Wells Fargo in any way and we never have had any contact with them for loans,banking, or otherwise.  We are military and live in base housing so it is not about a mortgage.

These idiots called me, asked for someone else - wells fargo - when I asked what number he was dialing - he said it was an autodialer - I informed him he was calling a DNC list number - when he tried to keep talking I started screaming at him, calling him an ignorant hillbilly c/s and m/f and eventually he hung up

just abuse the crap out of the guys

these jerks keep calling and calling and just to try and get a foot in the door will do ridiculous things like try and use what they assume is a nickname for someone here. for example, they will ask for "jamie", assuming that my ex husband james [his first name] goes by jamie. . . when actually he goes by his middle name. it annoys his girlfriend to no end because they keep calling and asking for me and i don't even live there, or they assume that she is me.

I keep getting calls from this number also.  I have a cell phone, and they are calling two times a day during peak time, and running up my phone bill.  My bill was 671.00 last month, when every month before had averaged about 53.00 !!

I get random phone calls from this number referring to Wells Fargo or nothing at all. They will always try to get me to verify my information, which momma didn't raise a fool, I begin to quiz them... i.e. what type of loan are you calling about etc, seeing I have random accounts with multiple banks. Then yes I begin to play with them, I have a great idea braught to me by a comedian on how to really screw with them. i.e. The person you just contacted was just murded and this is Agent such and such with the CSI etc... Hoping to be able to hold a straight face while I work my Thesbian acting skills on them =)   Wish me luck!

I get this call every f-in day most of the time silence then all of our operators are currently with other callers, then why in the hell did you call me?

I'm beginning to get the calls from this number on my cell and have chosen to ignore it but now it is going into my voice mail...any ideas on how to get my number off the list.

I got a vm from "jessica" (aka a computer that starts as soon as it picks up) saying that I need to call Wells Fargo Mortgage at 800-678-7986 to talk to them about my mortgage. I don't have a mortgage with them.

It is wells fargo collections, I'm giving back a condo in another city. I've had luck when they do get me to answer by telling them a few times that I don't want to be recorded. that makes it unusable in court. The average schlub working the phone doesn't have the authority to promise no recording so they thank me and hang up.

It was WellsFargo, and it turned out it was an appropriate call in my case.

THIS IS NOT A SCAM! This is Wells Fargo. You are behind on your payments, or you have a number that used to belong to someone who is. Everyone is so quick to say things are scams! They ask for your info to verify they are speaking to the homeowner, but they can access your info another way if you aren't comfortable goving out your S.S. number.

Wells Fargo keeps calling with no live person - calling every 5 minutes for the past 2 weeks.  They'd better stop is all I'm going to say.  We have NEVER done business with them.

If you want to block calls from this person on your cellphone get a program from the market.  bt caller is 1 of them

It is completely a scam.  I have no mortgage with them and they called on a business number that I give to almost nobody - especially anyone related to my personal affairs.  They also asked for either me or my wife by name on this business line.  IT IS A COMPLETE SCAM.
