Very senior people who live in condo.  Health affected by these calls coming in all times of day and early am.   Pleae STOP. One call claiming to be FBI warning about burglaries promoting alarms.  When a true FBI call comes in no-0ne will pay attention.  Surely something could be done.

thanks for the good info.  by reading your post it helped me figure out some other stuff too that's been going on.  you are right about the monitoring company being the big winner. 720-452-6381 and 717-628-7009 are all trying to sell the same polished turd. like you said any company that would pay a company like this to get sales leads is probably not trustworthy .you are supposed to be licensed in n.c. where i live to install alarms but in some states you aren't. i wouldn't trust anyone either that pays someone else to use these tactics.

I didn't get any goofy calls like this or from this number until after I contacted customer service. I blocked them.
I also heard of a scam that somehow a number can be switched to call forwarding by who ever is calling. If they are skillful in their questions, making you push buttons to set up call forwarding to whatever # they want.
Then at night they call you and it goes to forward and your number is now charged to who knows where and who knows what purpose.

Got a call last night at 9 p.m..... too late for such! All that displayed on ID was Minneapolis MN, so I answered and heard the robot spiel as accurately described here by previous posters.  I was so furious to be disturbed for such that I just kept the line open without pressing any response, and eventually it disconnected.  The ID had recorded the number, so I called it back and got the recording saying I had probably been called by their marketing department, and it gave me the same choices as before: to choose to speak to a real person or .... goodness knows .... give them information about my home security, or to opt to their "don't call list."  That's what I did at that point.  I hope it works.  I'm rather afraid it won't after reading previous accounts here.  If they continue, I'm game to join others in this forum to file a mass complaint against them or sue them.

received call 11-12-13. Caller ID showed Minnesota, so I did not answer. Checked here before deciding whether to call back. Thank you to all who have posted. My experience has been if you don't answer and don't call back the calls stop.

Received call, didn't answer because I checked this page while the phone was still ringing. Figured it was a telemarketing scam, I get a lot of these calls from random numbers nowadays, it seems to have picked up over the past few months.

JHM has valid points and I am impressed with as far as he has taken his investigations.
I receive at least 3-4 calls a day from these jerks and from different numbers and everytime I am hung up on when asked to be removed from their list.  I put my number on the FCC Do not call list, but that has not help!  I also reported them to the FCC twice now, that probably won't do any good either.  Maybe if we all report them we can get some attention.  Good luck to all us of who are being harassed because they will just keep calling from another number.    Report claims to: www.fcc.gov/complaints

I am getting the same calls, 4-8 times a day, I write down the number time and date from when the calls come in. I swear I am urged to meet up with this people and get them arrested. Of course provide them with a false address. Or call up the company and say I will kill you if you don't stop calling. I think we should try that!

I get this phone call on my phone at work about 6 times a day. No matter how many times I press the '2' to take me off of the calling list it doesnt happen.
I dont care if the FBI reports a break in every 6 seconds and I am not going to put a sign in my yard.

They called my work number and said the FBI says there are home invasions all the time & your police force recommends updating your security system.  If you let them put a small sign in your yard they will 'update your home security system for free'.  Did not say company name.

I get a lot of calls from these a$$ clown$ - they will play the robo-call, you can press this number to speak to someone or press that number to (supposedly) be removed from their calling list - which will NEVER work for you.   If you choose the option to be removed, you get a response that it could take up to 72 hours to be removed.

If you choose the option to speak with a live baboon, then you are directed to a live body who will then 'screen you' for some proper answers before you can proceed to the next level.

No questions.   They will just hang up on you.
Don't own your own home?   Dial tone also.
Currently have an alarm?  Dismissed.
*****And BTW, if you answered that one with anything besides 'yes' you should have your genitals removed by a rusty axe -should they reside on the outside of your feeble-minded body.  Just hang the sign out that says "Welcome criminal element - our valuables are in the ________!!!"******

Once you get past that gate keeper, you will then be transferred to a company who is local to you, that PAYS for these types of leads, either on a subscription basis or a per-lead fee, to then be placed on their appointment schedule for a visit by a live body.

If you have the intestinal fortitude you can do as I have in the past and actually meet with this low-life scum that use these deadbeat marketing tactics to try and win customers.   I have had such fun with some of these, and at other times felt absolutely sorry for some of these schmucks that are getting ripped off by these lead companies for having to pay for people like myself who are total pricks and wouldn't even pee on them if they were on fire.

MOST of the business owners I have encountered who use these 'lead generation' services are actually as scummy as the companies who make the calls.   They aren't licensed, aren't bonded and most times are just some fly by night operation that gets paid a percentage to make the install and then move on to the next one.   The company providing the monthly monitoring service is the big winner.   They usually like to get a contract for at least 24 months - with a HUGE fee to break the contract should the victim decide to cancel the service early.

Lots have been roving installers working an area for a few months only to move onto greener pastures once the business dies down.   So if you get these wheezers to put in your service and later you have a problem, good luck on finding them.   I've had vehicles show up with plates on them from the West Coast - and I am on the East Coast.   Some weren't even valid any longer.  One had Michigan plates, an Ohio Inspection decal on the windscreen and decals on the doors from Indiana.  Where would you start looking for this idiot?

I would personally NEVER use any security company that would market themselves in an illegal manner - if they'll break the simple laws - what else are they doing wrong?   How could you trust them with YOUR security?

I received a call twice in a row in about 1 minute, it was a number out of my area and an area I didn't know so I presume it is a kind of a scam, telemarketing or collector call so I did my search, I received it in my cell phone that is connected to my google account, so I decided to marked as spam but, when I call them it says "Welcome to our customer management communication platform, it appears that you've contact by one of our representatives.. ... bla bla bla " it appears one robotized telemarketing thing, bc they didn't give any clue what kind of company or name or some kind of identification.
