That just confirms your number is active and your number will go on their list of active numbers that is sold, passed on to other scammers or they morph their calling number.  It's like writing your number in a public place.  The newest Panasonic phones have call blocker or you could get one of these contraptions from the 90's that makes the sound of a disconnected number which would take it out of their computer, however, it is confusing and annoying to those who you do want calling you.

Yes I am getting calls twice a day in the last few days--fortunately I have call blocker on my phone and that's where it's going.  I don't pick up just clic on and off so they don't go to my answering service which verifies it's an active number.  Most annoying.  A year ago I got a new "unlisted" number and it was silent for most of the year but now these computer generated hackers, scammers, telemarketers have caught up with me again.

call the number back and they will ask if you want the number remove enter you're phone number and push 1 it will be removed

Has anyone reported this to Star Tribune or other source?  Same thing here.

I called the number 612-351-3227 and there is a prompt to be removed from call list by entering  telephone number and then confirming.  That works for me.  Have a good day.

just had a call from this number, no one answered when I answered

I currently receive 2-3 calls from 612-351-3227 per day. All of them end up in voice mail, but no message. One time I heard a most likely female voice saying "Hello" and then hung up.

I picked up the call & didn't say anything.  She kept saying hello.  I munched in her ear.  She had to discoonect twice because I didn't hang up.  I have never received a call since.

a woman was on the line and was trying to get me to increase my subscription to the StarTribune newspaper.

Called asked for my wife was a very automated voice, when I responed to first question reply was "all right" then no other responce came back

Call the company direct to be removed from their auto dialer and mailing list. Ugh!

received a call on my cell phone.  When I answered, a live person said "hello, are you there", when I said yes, a recording came on saying this is in response to "my service call".  I didn't bother staying on the line as I know I do not have a service call placed with anyone.  Now I keep getting calls from this number???

I got a call too.  It was a live line, with no one there.  I waited, and it said that it was confirming that my line was active.  Then they hung up.  Then I called the number from a land line and it asked me to enter my number to have it removed.  I didn't want to do that.  Is there someplace that I can report nuisance calls?

Yes I kept getting a call everyday on my cell phone. Could not call the number back from my cell phone but I called from a landline and got the same message as Brune above did "if you'd like your number removed" message. It said it would have my number removed within 2 days. I hope they do. JERKS... :)

Yep, called the number that called me (from an office phone at a local city hall) and all I got was a "if you'd like your number removed" message. No ID in the message that it was the Strib, just a generic reference to "customer service."

Addendum:  I called them on my fax line and was answered by "customer service".  They said I could remove my number from their call list; I entered my number (they have it anyway).  They said my number would be removed from their list after 2 business days.  We'll see.
