Received a third call today from this number.  They left a threatening message stating that they were going to serve me papers for charges of fraudulent activity, "against your ss# or name."  Stated that because I didn't return the first threatening call that they were going to, "hunt for you at your place of business or your home." . This is a fake payday loan collector.
The company goes by the name Alliance, and is very threatening. Be aware of the payday loan laws in your state. These loans are illegal in many states, ie; NY.  In any case, other than harassment they are a toothless tiger. File a report with your local and federal agencies.

First of all what Civil Service Department, all government agencies idenifiy there self. this is fake. I already filed with the Federal Trade Commission, but was told by the SS that this fake and I need to file with the OIG Fraud Hotline and they will actually investigate this guy, also file a police report. I have save every message and you need to do the same. they will track him down. This is a threat to me and my personnal identity and this person needs to get what he desires. He is looking to get SS numbers, he maybe trying to use it to get into peoples SS online....who knows.

Received 6 calls fro this no. past 3 days leaving threatening msg.  They are going to hunt me down @ work or home, have court papers with fraudualent chgs against my name & ssn. Can tell these are recordings and I even tried calling back once to determine who it was but it was answered by machine telling me to hold for the party.  I hung up and did not call back.  All calls are to work no. never at home or cell#.  Don't know who they are but I'm getting tired of receiving calls from them.  Is this a SCAM?  Sounds like one to me!!!!!  How can we stop it??????

Ive gotten 3 calls from them saying they were going to "hunt" me down as well, getting really annoyed because it is just a recording and not a real person. And they always call whenever i'm at work so can never answer anyways.

Got 3 calls as well. This is a cell phone they are calling from.  If they dont know your name and social when calling.... then they may be trying to steal your identity...

If they are really the legal service (with no name given, of course) they would already know that they are required by law to notify me in writing of any supposed debt before, "hunting," me down anyplace.    I'm not calling back.

I also received a call from this #.  They are threatening to serve me w/ papers at court work.  Meanwhile, it's in reference to a payday loan from 5 or 6 years ago.  And the idiots working there clearly don't know the law, because they can't force you to go to court for a civil matter.  If they want to waste hundreds of dollars to file a civil suite and pay a lawyer to represent them, then they can get a judgment against you.  That's it.  And, in my case, I don't own any property, so good luck collecting on it.  Not to mention 99.9% of judges HATE payday loan companies and would throw their case out before they even said a word.

I am tired of receiving threatening calls from this number stating this is a civil matter and I will be served at my place of business and or home... Calling the police the next time!

Same here.  They have called me twice now and the next time I am calling the police.

This is the second time they called my cell phone with a threatening message.  I am about to call the police on this!!!

They called me this morning in regards to civil matter. Was VIP payday loan for 2010. File BK on it a year ago....
