"Is (one of the presidents) there?" I transfer her, and she gets his voice mail (he's ignoring her, and rightly so) so she rings back down to me;
"Do you know when he'll be in?"
"No ma'am, I just answer the phones"
"What time does he normally come in?"
"I don't know, ma'am, I just answer the phones"
"I'll just call back in an hour, do you think he'll be there?"
"I don't know, ma'am, I just answer the phones."

You'd think after, geez, 10 days of this BS that she'd get the hint....

She knows my full name: asks me to call her back. Said her name is Marina.. ?  From Generation.

I doubt that there is anyone on this thread who actually thinks that you are a business owner. I'm sure everyone recognises that you are one of the con men from Generational Equity. Give up. Your company is known nationally as being a scam that cons business owners out of money and then gives nothing in return. Mergers & acquisitions, LOL!

Called, wouldn't leave name, asked for owner.  Lazy doofuses can't even spend two seconds looking up that tidbit of information.  Wouldn't leave a message.  Imagine that.  I don't think we'll be using them for anything.

I just got a call from 612-568-1899 asking for the owner. I said "I would be happy to check and see, may I ask who is calling?" And the rude guy on the other end said "You know what, if you have to check I'll just call him back at a later time." and hung up! Poor customer service!!

Same call even before we opened today. Nothing like starting off the day with a Spammer named GENERATIONAL EQUITY.  The last 4 years on the switchboard have meant weekly calls from these A***oles with every trick to get past me.  Stupidos!! I have vowed to never allow 6125681899 GENERATIONAL EQUITY A***oles an opportunity to complete their intended scam.  Four years and 200 calls later my score: 200

Called regarding an "exciting business opportunity," including a "meet-up" in our area in a few weeks. This time, he gave the company name as Generational Equity, and Gil's call back number this time was 469-828-2803.

We keep getting calls from this number.  I finally reached the point of researching the telephone number because they call so often.  When the lady calls, she asked to speak to the owner of the company (calling him by name..and yes couldn't pronounce his last name)  When I tell her he is on another call she asks if she should try his cell.  Really?  If he IS on another call, why would you call his cell?  If you have his cell, why do you calling the main line for the company and why do you act like you know him personally?  She claimed he was expecting her call or asked her to call.  Okay, and if he did why is he always in meetings, out of the office, or on another call when he knows you are supposed to call.  Too funny!

Unfortunately for you, Gen Eq "business advisors" have blanketed the phones for years and the company name is more associated with telemarketing spam than M&A.  One of your reps just called me again and I laughed at her when she identified the company she was with.

You should consider changing your company name, just like other companies who have tarnished their brand.

Damn, wish I'd seen my own post quicker; just received a call from Alan Poole from this number, although he gave 512-900-7833 as his call back.  Same song and dance as before.

Another number they call from:   512 900 7849.   In this case a 'John Jansen' claiming to have been referred and 'call me and if you are interested, I'll email you details'.   Frankly, if I sell my biz through someone that cold-called me from the blue, I'm barking up the wrong tree already.

Has anyone ever thought that they may be calling over the internet VOIP which is why the phone number cones up different that what is left in a message. I wondered that same thing when I got the call. Honestly I avoided the previous calls all together because I didnt want to sell my buisness. One day I ended up taking the call just to tell them I wasn't interested and I talked to a lady named Elaine and she was extremely polite and professional. What i found out was that they were not trying to sell me but provide me with information i could use when im ready to sell that will allow me to ask top dollar for my business. Ive never sold one before so when I met with them I learned a lot about my business I didnt know had I not been skeptical and taken the call.

Got a call from 1-612-568-1899 from a woman named Alexa - now she sounded way older to carry the name Alexa. She asked for my boss by name - now when people call the company for her, I know that she doesn't know them, nor do I. And I fight to keep them from talking with her. "Alexa" forced me to take down a message since my boss is out of the country on business. She gave me a call back number which is 1-469-828-2814 - they wanted to invite by boss to a meeting on August 6th - they didn't go into detail what the meeting pertained to.

I got similar call from Becky Benson who wanted to talk to the owner and again wanted to confirm whether he is the sole owner of the company. She left me her direct number 469-828-2887 and told that it is her direct line also the call came from 612-568-1899

"Mergers and acquisitions" phone call from "Scott Smith." He was polite but I didn't give him a chance to get further than that.  Said 469-828-2798 was his direct line. I told him we weren't interested and to please put us on their DNC list.

Caller left a message. He said the message was for my boss by name, but then stuttered over his own name, "Bob."  He said he was with Generational Equity -- Mergers and Acquisitions and that he had information she (boss) would be interested in. Left a different number for call back--469-828-2819.

Just received a call from Clara Mitchell at Generational Equity.  She asked for the owner by his formal name, so I knew it was a sales call.  I said he was in a meeting and she gave me a direct callback number (469-828-2830).  She was very polite and not pushy at all but we have no desire to do business with these guys.

Got the call - instantly blocked the call by pressing the "BLOCK" button on my Uniden desk phone.

They can never call me again.

Buy a call-blocking phone.  

Uniden and Panasonic make wonderful call blocking phones and they're inexpensive.  They also come with at least one wireless handset.  Very handy!!!
These phones also block ?Out of Area? and ?Private? calls.

Got a call from this number this afternoon. "Bill" calling from Generational Equity, asking to speak to the owner (who is me/my spouse, but I didn't let him know that) with an invite to a local "luncheon" that only a "very select few" were invited to. Call back number given was 512-364-0806

first Phone Call of Day and this is how it went:

I answer "Thank You for calling XYZ company. how may I help you?"
Caller: "May I speak to Steve?"
we have several "Steve's" here so I reply "Steve Who?" and He gives me a last name but butchers it (its not a difficult last name)
I reply- May I ask who is calling?"
Caller: "Norman"
Me: "From Where?"
Caller: "Texas"
Me (sigh-really? you think i am asking your location dude?) "And the Company?"
Caller" "Generational Equity"  And into VM he went.

Joe called us from this #, asked to speak to the owner.  I asked to take a message, he rudely said, "no message"

Same experience here.  Bruce Hinkley, he said his name was, came out of retirement & is living in Dallas.  Call showed 6125681899, but call back number was 4698282809.  Fortunately didn't have to talk to him, he left a voice message.

What a bunch of slime balls -- this company called our office twice yesterday and the second time the boss told them he was definitely not interested and not to call again.  They called again this morning.  Too bad we don't have the time to call them twice daily and annoy them.  

We will keep blocking the phone numbers they use to call us until they run out of numbers!  Take that!

Generational Equity called my office today from number 612-568-1899 and the male salesperson (didn't get a name) claimed to offer an opportunity where they match investors with business owners.  He had outdated information about my company and he was was fishing for information.  He became insistent that I offer up current details, but I was evasive.  My reply was, "Well, you can easily look find the info that you are looking for just by doing a simple Google search.  Any good salesperson would do their homework before they solicited someone".  He became aggressive at that point and then I ended the phone call.  Beware of this shiester company!!!

ID said Generational Eq. "John" was calling to speak with our business owner (knew him only by his first name). Said the boss had asked him to call and set-up a meeting for next week, which is odd b/c he's been out of the office all this week and will be gone for the next two weeks on vacation. "John" said he'd just call again "next time I'm in the area." Refused to leave a message or call back number. Bogus call.

Called, person they wanted was not here, refused to leave a name....

caller id says 'Jim Hageman'.  Wanted to talk to the business owner about 'a business interest'.  When I asked further he asked if we were interested in selling our business.
