This is the "CardMember Services" scam.  This number came to my cell phone.  I "pressed 1 to lower my rate" then berated the operator on the other end.  All you can do for now.  I have reported this scam to various State Attorney Generals.  The Call ID is forged.  They stated they believe it is an operation running from Hong Kong.  This is an illegal scam---there is no way to have them put you on their DNC lists---they do not care.  They are probably only trying to get your card number.

Got a call today on my personal cell phone from this number.  Thought it might could be an important customer and I just didn't recognize the number.  It was a recording that started partway through and talked about lowering interest rates, etc. Pain in the a$$.

Yes, I just received a call from this same number at 10:25 Eastern.  Strange how they spam in batches..

Just got a call from this number, heard it was pre-recorded, and hung up.

I notice these are all November posts, but I guess they are starting again.  When I answered, I chose to speak with a representative and ask what credit card company they work for.  They claim they are a third party who speaks to the credit card companies to lower interest rates "because it's actually the bank who raises the rates" - says the person calling from this number.  If you want them to stop, next time they call just start off with saying "I'm legally obligated to inform you that I am recording this call".  I read that from another forum about this scam and he says they stopped calling them after he said that.

i have received this call today at 3:10 pm. i answer it &they did not said nothing. so i ignored it.

I triedd calling back too.. and when they called mee it was soo weird and akward. they said "i loveee youu sarah..." at the end! they really creeped me out..

I have been expecting important phone calls today from out of town and picked up the call.  It was a pre-recorded message. "..your credit card.  Everything is ok..lower your balance and rate..blah blah bull***"  Unfair to call my cell!!! should be fined up the wazoo!!  Called me 6 min ago.

I had four messages form this number to my private cell line.  It is an emergency line so only a few people have the number.  I don't know what it is but it is bogus.

Just got a call. Left voicemail, but when I checked it, the person or recording didn't say anything.

I got a call from this number too, at 10:36 a.m. Eastern time.  Same thing: no message, and a message saying "not in service" when I tried to call it back.

Got this call too... when I call back it's "not in service". Got a call from a 516 area code a few days ago saying the same thing.

I also got the one from 516-453-5685 yesterday

Me too, only with an 01 before the number like an international call.

got a call from this # at 10am today, and one from 516-453-5685 at 4:30pm yesterday. I don't answer, but googling both #'s brings me to this site. I'm in MA

Yea i just got a call from this number too. When i called back there was a recording saying this number is out of service.  There is no way a number that just called me is out of service.  They should have a law against this.  Your phone number should be some what private.  I dont think i signed up for anything and gave out my cell phone number so i dont know why they are calling.  Its funny that we all got the call with in an hour or so.  I wonder if we all have something in common?
