I got the same thing Donna.  Several calls from that area code and I don't know anyone that lives in Minnesota

Received a call this morning @ 11:09 EST.  Didn't recognize number & rejected the call. No message was left.

I got the same call and no message left...

Received call from 612.808.9591 at 9:15am EST today. Did not recognize and was sleeping, did not answer. Returned call at 3:12pm and voice automated services stated "WCA Subscriber Services"

The calls from this # are gettiny way past irritating.  They call at work, at dinner time, in the evening when we're trying to relax, weekend mornings-you get the idea. No message is ever left. Do they really think they will get Any business with these tactics?

I got a call from this number on my cell phone this morning. What i do before I open it up is to check on Google to see where it is coming from and whether it is a scam or a phish

I have received several calls from this company and i do not ever remember signing up with them. The recording said I subscribed in June of 2009. How or why I do not know but why are they calling now? it just said that this number was in their records as subscribing. I texted them back to  say not to call me again.

I reported this number to the do not call registery

Got a phone call from this number. The caller left no voice message.

they are calling me from 612-808-9639 and 9699; 856-295-5609; and 314-627-6883.

WCA Subscriber Services is a company that offers crap via automated phone messages.  This is effectively an outdated form of spam.  I don't know who owns WCA, nor is it easy to track them down (but I'd like it if someone did).  If you are getting called by them, I'd suggest the following:

1) use the 'opt out' option given by the message.

2) record any numbers WCA calls you from.

3) get on the FTC's national do not call list (call 888 382 1222 or go to www.ftc.gov).

4) complain about further contact (make sure to get the number WCA calls you from)


Screw these guys.  Would you hit up your buddy to buy crap?  What about a stranger?  Or thousands of strangers?  And with an answering machine?  Don't just ignore it, do something about it.

Um...people, the owner of the phone number does not read this website. Saying "stop calling" is not going to do you any good. Believe me, they don't read it.

Stop spamming your calls. I do not pick up the phone if I don't t recognize it. Just as I really do believe I've won the lottery in UK via email really.

They do not leave messages and keep calling

I too am on some kind of a list because every day I get calls from random numbers. This one called today. So, I did what I've been doing to all of them: I picked up the phone, pressed PLAY on this sound file:

And hung up. It seems to be working, so far the numbers I use it on don't call back. But, I'm sure the list I'm on is sent to DOZENS of scammers and telemarketers, so it will probably be a while until these calls completely stop. Your best bet is to put in fake phone numbers for anything you sign up for online.

Legit businesses better take note - I for one won't answer my phone unless I recognize the number because of the now daily spam phone calls I get.  Dear business owner, what's the total cost burden to your company if you can't connect with your customers?  Write your government representatives and let them know these spam techniques are hurting your business.

Ever since I registered on what appears to be a popular website for college or continuing education information, I started getting these calls.  Be cautious who you give your number to or anticipate stupid spam calls to follow.

At least with email, you can 'junk' them!
