what is this number?

This number is a telemarketer in Canada that calls from different regions of Canada for different companies.  This week it was The Canadian Wildlife Federation.  Who knows who next week.  My husband called them back to ask why they don't answer right away and who they are.  The young  man called us back and explained that there is a lapse in time from the phone call going out to the person answering the phone on the other end especially if it is from a different time zone.

This number has called my cell phone numerous times.  They always call asking for a different person, never my name, not even close.
I have had calls from this number for well over a year now, the times are totally random, some time at 3pm other times at 3am.
I only use my cell phone for emergencies and this is quite annoying.

I have been away and find that in the last two weeks this number has called no less than 20 times: 5 times in one day alone!  Thanks to you guys for letting me know it is a telemarketer.

Canadian Wildlife Federation.  I called and got a message stating this was them, and I left a message asking to be removed from their calling list.
I thought telemarketers were supposed to leave us alone.....it seems they're worse now than ever, ever since I added my number to the 'do not call list'.

I also get this call from that number. It happens at least over 10 times a day. It is sooooo annoying. There is suppose to be a way to get them to stop does anyone now how to do it??

THIS 613-216-2981 NUMBER CALLS MY WORK LIKE THREE TIMES A DAY AND HANGS UP?....I CALLED IT BACK AND IT SAYS IT IS A GENERAL INFORMATION CENTRE AND YOU CAN LEAVE A MESSAGE???...WHATS UP WITH THAT??

received a call from 613-216-2981 but when I picked up after a min or so they hung up. This is not the first call from them.

I do not answer calls from unknown sources.

rec'd call from 613-216-2981. Did not pick up. Checked area code - Ottawa, Kingston area

has anyone rec'd calls from this #?  About 2 weeks ago I started getting calls, no id, no message.  I do not answer such calls but was wondering who it originates with.
