I called the number back and got this address and this info after listening to all the prompts and s***... It seems to be a printing place witch does phones books and s***.. website is  .http://www.perfprint.ca/emcottawap135.php

Received this call, no message and caller ID was just the phone number.

They check on their EMC community paper delivery people and randomly call people on their route to see if paper is delivered. Simply ask 'press 1 if yes' and 'press 2 if no'. That's it. Too many 'no' inputs = 14 year old delivery boy gets the boot.

Good thing we pay all these taxes here to keep things regulated...

Telemarkets using a redialer service to spam Eastern Ontario.  Just don't pick up the phone unless you recognize the number.  Totally pointless doing anything else now.

The telephone as a method of communication is now redundant.  Land line and cell phone

I believe "Newspapers" -If you can call EMC that -   are except from abiding with the DNCL.

They call to see if your EMC Paper is being delivered.

Automated call on behalf of my local newspaper with two questions.  First, did I get my paper and second were there flyers in it.

No idea this is a new number that started calling tonight, I need to find a way to block these stupid calls. I'm disabled and do not need the hassel to try and get to the phone. Police and CRTC won't do anything unless your a victim of a SCAM that involves money. So we basically just need to put up with this nonsense, we are on the Do Not Call List and I swear we've gotten more stupid calls since we went on it.

Picked up since it was a local phone number. Empty air and then went to busy signal. Probably a telemarketer. If it is, I'm going to report them. Hopefully something good comes out of it... but then again... CRTC is a toothless tiger.

Got a call from this number this morning and they hung up when I answered.

I am so sick and tired of getting these calls. Is there any way to stop them? I'm registered with the Do Not Call. We don't answer ANY calls when there is no name. Of course they don't leave a message, either.

Is your phone number between (000) 000-0000 and (999) 999-9999? Computers and voip can call millions of numbers a day. They will find you. For criminals, who do not follow the DNC list, your "live" number is worth money. It can be sold to other scammers. As many of these crooks are overseas, the Government cannot arrest them. If it's a cell phone, get a call blocking app.

We have registered with the National Do Not call List and therefore should not be receiving unsolicited calls from surveys, telemarketers etc., Who sells our number to these phone bandits anyway?

Telemarketer for sure!

Have been receiving these calls the past while, automated voice saying they want to do a political survey and that I will win a cruise for 2 people. If I don't want to receive anymore calls then press '9' which I did, then had second thoughts - did I do right?
