It is Easter and yet they called me .I am on the Do not call lists too it doesn't work I have heard many people say that .Then what is the point of having it? No they never left me a message
This number has called my cell phone 3x today alone. It has also called my kids cell phone constantly. Not only driving me nuts but pissing me off. I gave answered and just dead air.
I just received a phone call from 613-230-2890. A person asked for me, and then he said he is calling from Scotiabank as they do a survey. I ended a conversation as obviously this is a scam.
Got a call from this number and I didn't pick it up. Whoever it is did not leave a message. Not a fan...
CRTC DO NOT CALL LIST is a waste of time. It is ignored. Tell the caller the person they are looking for is deceased and hang up. Let them chew on that for a while.
I don't want the phone call from this number.
My proven way to stop these calls......
Answer, speak immediately so the computer will transfer to a live person. Then have fun with it, tell them you are so interested, but keep saying you are doing things, like answering doorbell, getting pen and paper, getting credit card.
The more you can waste that live person's time (and wages) will get you off call lists faster than any "do not call" list. I do this, and they never call again, and I have rarely been getting new calls.
Hit them where it hurts, the wallet.
You may remove your number from their call centre here.
Once again, it rang twice on my cell and again I never answered. I most certainly don't feel like being the teacher for a New Canadian and if that is Offensive, too damn bad. I say that as most real people would allow the phone to ring more than two times so that I could at least decide NOT to answer. If on the other hand it may be an honest call, why do they not call my land line?? Opps that's right, it is unlisted, and guess they can't quite figure out how to use the fax either now that Saskatchewan has two area codes. Of course, rather than working at a call center in Pisswhistle, Ontario, they could come and knock on the door and try speaking their mind. That of course would be a real English as Second Language treat. Do as You may wish, but know that some if not most of us have no use for this crap.
Called me twice, today (May 6th 2014) and yesterday. I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message, too bad for them I guess. If they call again tomorrow I may answer and kindly ask them to f*** off.
These people are so damn maddening they've called the house 8 times in 5 minutes every time I answer they hung up on me. I'm already on the do not call list!! Stop calling me! I'm handicapped for me to get to the phone it's a chore there should be a law against these harassing phone calls like this. There's no point contacting CRTC they won't do a damn thing unless they extort money out of you. I've reported so many phone calls it's not funny. They even called me right back after the second time I hung up from a different ported number you could tell this one was an internet call and not the regular number. The second I started yelling they hung up, then they called me back with a fax tone that sharp piercing sound it makes that must have been there F you for me screaming in their ear!
i got a call today at home by this no i pic up the phone and ask four my name claiming that they wore the scotia bank asking me if i had 5 minits off my time and ask me info but i told theme i did not have time to talk and she said it was about a research i hung up the phone after
Called my cell this evening and it rang twice and that was it. Not a clue who or what it may have been about. I have free long distance nationwide 24/7 but didn't feel like wasting my time talking to either a New Canadian or some sort of Computer. Quite baffled as to where they get my number as it has been listed on the Do Not Call for about the past 90 days.
missed a call. left a garbled message on my voice mail
went on here to find out what number it is. added to my auto reject list and will be informing police, as as far as i know its illegal and defined as harassment for telemarketers to leave voice mail.
some pathetic srub calling me on easter sunday trying to convince me he was for the government and wanted me to answer his gay little questions.
get a real job you f****ng loser.
Said he was conducting a survey and wanted to speak to the person in the business responsible for obtaining government licenses. I think that all countries in the world should do more to prevents scams, penalties should be more severe.
Claiming from scotiabank.
Call my number 3 times a week and never left any message
The man called me and said he was The Royal Bank of Canada. He asked for me by name and asked for personal information. I told him no way. Can you say 'fraud'?
Call from "Ottawa". Are you serious. Didn't answer, blocked the number, problem over....sweet! BTW, I still don't know why some who post here either answer the call or call back. Either way you have played right into these bottom-feeder's hands. Block them if you can otherwise ignore the call.
DO NOT register on the National Do Not Call registry. The government allowed anyone to pay $50 to download the entire list. I get more calls than I did before. I have one home phone and one phone for work in my home, both of which I registered at the same time. Often when telemarketers call BOTH lines ring simultaneously - because they're using automated dialling systems and obviously my two phone numbers are next to each other in the data dump. Biggest mistake I ever made was registering with the "Do Not Call" registry; it's a joke!
Apparently you don't have an IN with the CRTC, or you wouldn't continue to get harassed with people pronouncing your name wrong.
First world problems.
But, whatever makes you feel like a big man in the morning, "Snyper".
number is on my phone several times per week. this is harassing.
I would like to report this number 613-230-2890. Who ever it is, just calls, but I don't answer as I have my number blocked. However, this # keeps coming up. Very annoying. Can anyone do something?
Rec'd a call from "PowerStream" to explain their new program. Wouldn't give me a # to have someone from Property Committee call them back. I didn't give out any #s either. She's calling back on Friday - can't wait! :-(
This number has called me twice yesterday (Saturday March 14, 2014) and twice today (Sunday March 15), Leaving a voicemail of just heavy breathing. Really pissing me off and interrupting my day, not to mention leaving creepy breathing on my voicemail.
Remove my # please. 7096405261
Just saw a missed call from this no. No voicemail was left. Scotiabank has been haunting me recently by calling me from various numbers for last few months so my guess would be this no is also one of them according to one of the posts above. I definitely not recommend Scotiabank for banking to anyone. They keep on calling me for these stupid surveys and dubious offers AFTER I closed all their accounts 2 weeks ago!! So unprofessional and wrong. They are not supposed to give away their client's number like that!!!
I hate these survey people and I refuse to answer any of their questions.
For one thing, then never pronounce my name correctly - strike 1
They always call either at supper or when Jeopardy is on - strike 2
They always tell me they'll add my number to their internal do not call list but never do - strike 3
So... when I get one of these calls, I tell them that I charge 500$ per question and that I require payment in advance and 6 months advance booking. That usually shuts them down. And if that doesn't work, I have an IN with the CRTC.
Do not bother to spend money for being on a no call list. They STILL call and we should not have to pay for this. Our government should crack down on this practice and rather than spend our hard earned money on themselves, help the people they work for...US
