this # is driving me and my fax machine nuts hope some one finds out who this is??????????????

Call comes in and when i answer there was no voice no sound no anything, then when i hang up the phone it still shows my line as 'in use' and when i pick the phone up again it is still on the same call. This has happened 15 times in the span of 20 minutes (actual time from 2:30pm Feb5/08 to 2:51pm) I have contacted Bell Canada in regards to this but the only thing that could have been done was assigning my number to the DO NOT CALL list. Any resolution that may come of this would be great if then forwarded to me.

I too am getting this number calling my phone. And I am also from Belleville. Called last night and this morning until 1:30 am. I didn't answer the phone because well, I didnt know who it was, and wasnt answering it at that time of the day.

Bell says they can't do anything. So I cancelled my home phone.. Stupid bell. Free at last from these stupid telemarketer calls and scams.

I'm from Belleville as well. This # has called my house frequently. I think the only thing to do is go to Bell.ca and flood them with complaints. I'm pretty sure they won't do anything but what else is there? I've sent 10 complaints in the last 15 min.

I also live in Belleville. I get this call everyday around the same time. Sometimes it rings until my answering machine gets it, where nothing takes up 1 minute of my machine. Sometimes it rings three times and hangs up.
Very annoying!! Nice to know I'm not the only one!

i have also recieved calls from this number, i didn't get to my cell in time so when i called the number back from my home phone, it dialed then went straight to a dial tone, i am not sure who it is, it is a local number, i am confused...

This is a number that SKYPE or any other voip uses in the local area.  Any one who uses skype to call in the quinte area will have this number.

i got a call from this number, they told me there were from Bell Canada and that they wanted to give me a free cell phone--I said No thanks, and hung up

Same exact thing! We're right outside Belleville, ON and we keep getting the SAME CRAP!! Whomever this is, I am getting VERY sick of it! This moron called me last night at 4:10AM!!! Which woke my entire house, including a young child and a baby!! Grrrrr... this HAS to stop!!

This number (613) 966-4768 is always calling no one say anything just hang up,i try calling it back but nothing happen....

this number has been calling our office for months. We are too busy to be answerring calls that hang up on us. Very frustrating!! D.

i have just been contacted by that number
they are running scams
they try to get you to put money in your account that they send you via money order and then they tell you to send the money via western union that is remaining from what they tell you to keep
the money orders are fake
don't have anything to do with that number

Don't answer to this number, contact phone provider at all costs.

My guess.. it has to do with their insurance division ( as I just did a free online quote a few days a go and I have had a few calls from this number since then ).

I get a call from this number two or three times a week, usually in the morning around 9:00 they start calling. They keep trying about five calls. When I pick up the phone it beeps and will not stop. When I do not answer it the call goes into the answering machine and I get the beeping, it takes about 2 minutes before I can delete it. I tried calling the number back, but there is no dialtone.

This number has been calling me since I got my Telus cell phone. Drives me absolutely nuts!

I get the same thing, answering and hearing the beeps, as well as a very long message left on my machine with the beeps.

I have also tried calling the number back and have always been disconnected.

I'm in Belleville as well.

I'm almost glad that I'm not the only one being bothered!

This number frequently calls my office.  On the rare occasion someone is on the line, its a young-sounding girl asking for the owner or boss.  She never leaves a message and insists on "just calling back" when I ask for her name.  The girl sounds completely unprofessional and really doesn't sound like she's representing a company.  I'm not sure what the scam is, but I've also received these calls at my house (always dead air when I pick up...no message left when I don't pick up).

i'm wondering if this is a local number that comes up when an international call comes through a local tower in the belleville area, I have only seen the number on my phone once and it was when my boyfriend had used a calling card to call me (he is in another country right now). i even have had friends in toronto call me with a calling card and my call display will show as a local belleville number....not sure, just wondering if this maybe was the case?

I, too am from belleville. I met a guy online about a month ago. We chat n email each other regularily. When he recently told me he was going to africa on a business trip, I thought that he was probably one of those scammers that I have heard about that operate out of Nigeria ( guess where he was going ).He has not acted in typical scammer fashion but today he asked to call me. I gave him my phone number , thinking that he'd never actually call. He did call. He had told me when we first met that he was from Belgium. He did have an accent , as he had said he did. It did sound like he could be Nigeria but not overwhelmingly...n I am not familiar with what a Belgium accent would sound like. The call was less than 10 minutes. He did not ask for anything...it was pleasant...but now, after reading other comments about the caller ID # that showed up....i am really confused n concerned.

I have received 2 phone calls in half an hour and when i pick up there is no one there.Something should obviously be done about this phone number calling and harassing people we do not appreciate the calls.

I am also from Belleville, and this damned number has been calling my home for a while now.  I can not find anything out about this number online or from the police, but all I ever get is a call, with no answer, no talking than just a disconnected signal screaming at me.

anyway, the calls started aroung 6pm at night and continued till about 20 minutes to 1am in the morning *so I recieved about 5 calls so far** , i am in belleville ontario too,i have a virgin mobile cell phone, and i dont always keep my cell on ring, usually it is on slient because i am always working...so i havent picked up when this number calls so far, i tryed calling this number back a few times and it doesent even ring, i get this long dial tone then this really fast busy signal, and and if i dont hang up with in around a 30 seconds or so, it disconnects me.
