Got 4 of these calls back to back at my office. I finally picked up and got nothing but air. It is getting very annoying!

just got a call from this number... a local number saying they wanted to give me a $7000 grant from the US treasury b/c i paid all taxes, never filed backruptcy, yada yada... verified name, age and address, but didn't ask for ss#...
wanted my bank info, but i told him to send me a check... he was fine with that... said to call 202-684-6582

i did, gave him the code, he said he would look up the info and the line went dead

thinking, yes, this is definitely a scam...

I just got a call from this same number and they said that they were with the Kid's Wish foundation.  After checking this out on the net I discovered that 90% of their donations go to administrative costs.

This is a scam. This same # called and claimed I owed them $! Refused to give me any contact information and claimed I took a loan out with another company that I never heard of. I filed police report for id theft. Be aware

Received 2 VM's on our home phone,  March 27 & 29, 2010(that 4 children 15 & under have access to) from 614-384-5740. The 1st VM is sombody w/a foreign accent saying "hello" twice, then asking to speak to my BF, (Mind u this is a voice mail they are speaking too....DUH!) The caller pauses, then says very angrily "Say something you mother fu*king son of bi*ch!" And hangs up. Two days later the same number calls, gets our VM, but says again very angrily, "hello" 7 times in a row....almost yelling into the phone. Then asks my voicemail to speak to my BF. Again, the same foreign accent guy w/lots of call center noise in back ground.  If these jerks can be tracked down, I wonder what the laws are in Ohio for "telemarketers" or "debt collection" (whatever they claim to be for the day) reguarding foul language on a family's voice mail,

Just received a call from number 614-384-5740 @ 9:30 am. Did not leave any vm. Lately, we have been getting phone calls from anonymous numbers. Getting little annoyed :(
