I've gotten a couple of calls from this company regarding "Windows" on my computer.  Each time I've said my husband has our computer with him at work.  They stress how important it is to get on the phone with them with my computer.  I asked how they knew that I had so many errors.  "Nancy" finally admitted that they didn't really know if I did or not, they were calling ALL windows users. I asked her multiple times what company she was with and her phone number she finally said "Oxcy Solutions" and 614-388-8814. This is a total SCAM.  If they are so reluctant to give their information that should raise a big Red Flag.  Be smart- anytime someone CALLS YOU, DO NOT give out your CREDIT CARD number, or ANY Personal information!  Companies that require that information usually all ready have that information or YOU contact them, not the other way around.

Got a call last night from 000-000-0000, the Indian sounding man told me he was from Microsoft and there were viruses on my computer.  I have a contract with the Geek Squad, so I told him don't worry about it.  He insisted that he should fix them.  I told him I needed his name and number and I would call him back since no information was sent to my phone.  He gave me 614-388-8814, the name Victor Gibbs, and id #VTRT051.  I called the Geek squad and they assured me that this was a scam and I could bring my computer in to get checked for free if I was concerned.  IT IS A SCAM.

I also got a call today from someone with a strong Indian accent, who was obviously trying to convince me he was from Microsoft, and that they were getting errors from my computer.  He gave some alleged employee ID, and the phone number, 614 388-8814.  Of course, the whole story sounded like a scam.  But I followed along with bringing up eventvwr -- harmless enough.  I wouldn't tell him the error codes that it showed, because it might be possible to abuse that information.  But then, he wanted me to go to a web site that sounded like it was for giving them control over my PC.  No way I was letting a cold caller control my PC!  They want you to believe that the errors shown by eventvwr are serious, so you buy into their bogus argument that your PC has dangerous viruses and "germs".  Of course, it's normal for eventvwr to log some errors and warnings, but many people wouldn't know that.  At that point, I got really pushy about not trusting him, and he repeated that I could call his company's number to verify that his company is legitimate -- obviously NOT a useful exercise.  At that point, I Googled the phone number, and went from 99% sure it was a scam to 100% sure.

Of course, the fake people above who say it's a legitimate company all have "reply to" next to their names, because they obviously work for this fraudulent company.

I just got off the phone with a woman who said she was getting reports of many errors and if I pushed the windows button and the letter R she would show me how to clean off my infected files.  Very pushy but ultimately I would not let a stranger get access to my computer - who knows what would happen when I pushed those buttons!!  I would hate to think someone would be taken in by this.  So glad this phone number check up service is available!!!  That number is now blocked so that they cannot scare my kids.

They called me.  "Allan Johnson".  Had strong east Indian accent and couldn't understand him.  He wanted me to log onto my computer and let him fix it.  He gave a company name but could not understand him and he kept talking to someone else in the room.  This is wrong and should be stopped.  I hung up and did not respond to his badgering.

I have been getting calls always with a east Indian accent for the past year & bet the scam has something to do with the Tamo Tigers. It is a scam the original company changed there name because of this prob. There are over 300 calls a day to canada fraud center by people with the same issue. Sorry I am not racialist but my advice is if someone with a east Indian accent calls hang up the phone.

I just got a call to my residence in Toronto On from the same # and the caller had an indian accent and said his name was "SAM"  Said that he worked for Microsoft Windows and his company name was U R P C Care at 1-614-388-8814, but lied and change the last couple of #'s.  When I started asking heavy questions, who and where they were located etc. he got very rude and told me to stop asking so many questions.  He also said he was located in Colombus, OH

I didn't give him any information and when i told him i was going to report this call he got very angry and started shouting "OH YA? YOUR GONNA CALL AND REPORT ME?"  I hung up quickly and found this site to report it.

DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE

They are now calling themselves Microsoftpartnersurpccare. The person i spoke to called himself Ralph Hofman but had an Indian accent. For a fee of 399 they would give me a lifetime warrany. They directed me to a program where i could give them command of my computer and proceeded to show me all the problems which would cause my computer to crash. He was going to direct me to another site which would take my credit card details. At this point i said i would have to call back. I then went to Bell chat line to get some advice from there tech dept. As i was talking to this gentlemen someone started to type obscenities as my replies. I now have to make sure they are not controlling my computer. They first identified themselves as MSN.
