Say represent Butler County courts, Call them back..  NOT

There main thing is collecting court/probation/ect fees for smaller township courts that can't put out warrants.  They call from one number pretending to be the court to get you scared and then give you the 1800 number to call back.  I actually owed 'gas city' court money...the jerks never sent me a bill or contacted me, instead they automatically turned me over to this collection agency.  There method worked on me, I thought I had a warrant or something.  So I've started a payment plan.  Thing is...they keep calling my parents acting like they're the gas city court.  I gave them my home number..but they must not update their records.  And what's even sillier is that they somehow have my wifes number and keep calling it asking for people we've never heard of.  I'm not one to dodge paying what I owe...but this company is goofy.  They seem to not even care what they're doing.  I'm thinking about contacting my lawyer and seeing if there's a law against imperonating a court of law.  I've called them back about there repeated calling of my parents for me for an issues that's already settled and they claim they've never called them, it must have been the court.  I pretty sure gas city indiana isn't located in Columbus Ohio.  Makes me want to give them a hard time.  Make my payments in large bags of pennies that I pee'd on.  In fact I think I'll wipe myself with every money order.  Heh.

Someone called asking for a "Saundra Taylor".  I told them no such person lived here and asked what number they had dialed.  Caller confirmed that it was mine.  I reiterated that no such person lives here and hadn't; then the caller asked me if this is a business.  Beginning to boil, I told him that all he needed to know was that his party didn't live here and he hung up on me.

The information above was helpful.  I rang the toll-free number, confirmed with the person who answered that 614-575-0590 was their local number, explained what had just happened and the guy asked me what I wanted him to do about it.  I wanted to get the rude @$$wipe who'd called me fired, but I told him I wanted to make sure they didn't call back.  He replied they'd probably deleted my number, then at least acted like he'd checked the database, said my number had been removed and also hung up on me.

I guess those on the phone deal with angry people all day every day, but am I at fault for 1) answering my phone and then 2) expecting to both retain a vestige of privacy while wanting to ensure they leave me alone in the future?

Called said needed to talk to my daughter. Said he was from Butler County Courts, that this was an important matter and needed to call back TODAY! He said he didn't want her to have a problem with her driving record.  She moved to another state nine months ago. He also told to call back on an 1-800 number. The number is 1-800-693-6835, ext. 241. Said his name was Mr. Winberg. Hope this helps.
