Everyone of the items above and all the other items i have read today are all about PHONE CALLS - NO ONE has stated they received IN THE MAIL a letter stating they owe money. Reason: This is a bogus "collections" (laughing) company. What it is is a scam.

Legally, for a person who has not paid a debt, the debt collections will try to call AND will send you written notices. When those fail, court ordered garnishments are then adhered to.

I have read no where on these blogs, where anyone received a letter or a garnishment writ.

Now, all of you, if someone called and said they were "Brad Pitt" calling to talk to you, would you believe them!!

PEOPLE WAKE UP AND DEFEND YOUR SPACE!  Call them what they are - SCAMMERS! If they try to threaten you, (first of all laugh) then tell them that you have just recorded their threat and will now proceed to your local police department to turn it into them and place a warrent for THEIR arrest for harrassment. OOPS i will guarantee that they will NOT be calling you again.

this company is a bunch of scam artist nothing more. they claim they are a law office and are taking you to court. here is a tip for all of you cause i know how your feeling, they called me too. call their bluff and ask them when the court date is. mark that day on your calander so you remember when it is. that day will come and go just as any other will. and NOTHING is going to happen. you have to be processed & served before any hearing date. if you get a call from these jerks call the attorney general in your state and report it. i called my states a.g. and they said there are so many complaints already it's just a matter of time before this agency folds and has to close it's doors. they are actually under investigation now. please be smart and stop giving our your bank account numbers over the phone. even if you really know that you owe the bill, the money that you give them is NOT being applied to it. its going right into their pockets. i gave them my money because i knew i owed it.  not only did they over draft my account because they took out more then they were supposed to before the date we agreed on but a month afer i paid them another place was calling me saying they were taking me to court for the same account. they are filth and it makes me sick to my stomach what they are getting away with. I WAS A FOOL AND FELL FOR THEIR SCAM. DON'T DO THE SAME THING!!!

don't worry everyone. they are bottom feeders and scammers. just hang up on them or have some fun and tell them you'll pay and never send them anything. They make money by making multiple phone calls per day, so the longer you keep them on the phone (with no intention to pay) they can't scam anyone else!

They keep calling and sometimes leavign these horriable messages saying that they are going to file a civil suit against me and i have no idea what they are talking about try to call back and never get an answer they fax this sheet to my work to garnish my wages and it says nothing about what for. They are horriable

I received a call saying that they are PMI Law office and that they are filing a civil suit for a bank loan a year ago.

I have been receiving threatening calls also.  I think they are a scam also.  They will not verify that I owe this money.

these folks contacted both our kids and left messages with them to pass to me.

they call me and don't leave a msg. they have called my brother and my friends. i don't even know who they are. they are supposed to be out of somewhere in ohio. i live in california. i called them back and lmom informing them they are violating the fair debt collections practice act. it is illegal for them to call friend, family or employers and if you tell them to stop calling you, they have to comply.

These people are a scam!! do not give them any info!!! They are bad debt buyers, and the debt is usually outside of the statue of limitations, or very close to it.  Do not give them a dime or that will restart the statue of limitations.

Left message--Civil Claims Processor Mike Frances from PMR Law Firm.  A civil case is being filed against me throughout the county.  Call them at 614-586-4174 and reference case affidavit #4483830.

Left a message saying they were from the PMI law group and a simple complaint was filed against me. number was 614-586-4174 Ext110

Same message. They even got my mothers phone number and called her to tell her she had co signed for a loan for me. She told them that they were crazy. They lie and told me that my "case" was going to court on a Wednesday but then on Friday she called back and said I was scheduled for court in a week. Needless to say, I'm not paying. I have informed my bank that it's a scam & am going in tomorrow to close my account!

I got a call from this number stating that I was being sued and that a civil case was being brought against me.

These people are horrible and illegal. It's a collection agency that says its a law form. I demanded they send me informtion on this supposed debt I owe and they refused - saying they were telling me about it and there's nothing more to send. They actually yelled at me and said they would see me in court. Before this they called a friend and told her I was being investigated for bank fraud. I don't even have a bank account! When they refused to budge on sending me documentation, I told them fine, I will see them in court...

I OWE A DEBT

Got same message on my answering machine, from Sara Gibson, of civil claims processing, stating that a claim had been filed against me, on behalf of xxxxxxx, Hopkins and that I would need to appear in court and that I or my legal representative needed to call 614-586-4174, referencing case # PMI 63900. The message did not even state what state the complaint was in. I though it was a scam right to start with. I called the number and gave the case number, they said they were trying to contact xxxxxxxx, Hopkins in referance to a civil case, I actually knew the person they where trying to contact, the person had been a former tenant of mine several years ago. I did not have any contact information to give them. So maybe this time it was not a scam, but I don't know how they got my number.

It's a collection agency called PMI, They are trying to collect on a debt.
