For you to out right judge someone you dont even know is just ignorant and sad.  You wanna know why they are calling me?  I wrote a check for about $400 worth of groceries for the month for my family of 4 (at the time).  The following day, my account and identity information was stolen.  My bank account, drained.  My credit, ruined.  Then just a week later my husband was killed in a car accident on his way home from work.  Now, not only do I have to try and do ANYTHING to take care of my children but i have no one to help me.  If i had the money to give back to kroger, i would.... i really really would.  But the fact is, i dont and what little money i do manage to make, goes to nothing but my children.  
So the next time you feel the need to bash someone, or a group of people, please consider that everyone is different and everyone has a different story.

For all of you idiots that don't pay your bills & you then you take your $ earned & go out and drink it on alcohol, clothes, cell phones and other items to make yourself feel good and look good.   Inside your self you will still be the low class immoral piece of s*** that you are.   You will just go out and incur debt and don't pay your bills back and then you raise the interest rates of other people that do pay your bills.    So pay your medical bills & Kroger back and maybe you will be a little bit more happy in your lives and feel better about yourselves.    So good for Meade & Assoc's for calling you losers who don't pay your bills!

This is a debt collection company called Meade & Associates. One of their clients is Kroger's grocery chain and they usually call about returned checks. They are a very aggressive debt collection company and they regularly violate the Federal Consumer Protection laws as well as many state laws (some states have stricter laws then the Federal side). Either way if they contact you repeatedly, threaten to sue or have you arrested, or they continue calling you after you have asked them not to (best way is by sending a certified letter to them) then you could be entitled to damages under consumer protection laws. Right now the federal law states that you are entitled to up to $1,000 (they are trying to increase this to $10,000) in damages, legal fees paid by the debt collector, and any negative debt removed from your record. It usually costs you no more than the postage to send them a certified letter to fight this. Just FYI

this is the sebt collection company for kroger...they will begin calling you at 8 am and call all the way up untill 9:30 pm...if you don't awnser they hang up or they will leave a message with heavy breathing like i had this morning...by not identifing who they are they are breaking the fair debt collection act...if they call you before 8 am or after 9pm they are also in violation of this act and you CAN sue them... i have been dealing with then for about a month and they will call you every 2 hours...i am to the point i am ready to sue... you can also send them a letter telling them to cease telephone communications and this should stop them!!

It's Meade & Associates a.k.a. Kroger

I too have now recieved 2 calls from this number the first call was at 6:30am and the second just now at 10:20am and the 2nd call was 1 ring and they hung up and no message was left after the 1st call this morning. STRANGE

The same phone number just called me twice today, so I called the number back and this is the following information I managed to get from the person on the other end; The company was Meade and Assoc.'s  Looking for someone with the last name of Anareo (not even close to mine) at our phone number. Mind you we have had this number for over six years.

They call let the machine come on then they just hang up.

I get the same thing - rings one or two times and then nothing - and never ever leaves a message.
