Received the exact same call from unknown number...same lady too.

Call from Susan Hewitt from "restricted" number.  Can't begin to tell you how many times they've called.  If I don't recognize your number, I don't answer.  In this case, I already know who's calling.  She left a message this time.  These people are incessant.  Help them raise funds once and they act like you're on the hook for the rest of your life.  And don't even get me started on the levels of deception they will employ to procure your participation.  They leave a message speaking as though they know you personally, are following up on established plans, and/or indicate they have some great opportunity or event for you.  Hey MDA, why don't you try to be honest about who you are and why you're calling, and maybe people would be more willing to assist your efforts.  As it is, I'm left with no recourse but to describe your charitable organization as a fraud.  And at this point, you do NOT want to reach me on the phone, unless you enjoy verbal abuse.  Get bent.

Just received a message from "Susan Hewitt" to call her back at (614) 310-8358.  I do not know this person. I called the number back, but received no answer. The answering machine voice sounded like a different person. The name of the business was not announced on the answering machine.  It only listed business hours. I called back and Susan was very chummy with me... "Hiiiii, Mary this is Susan Hewitt. How are you doing?"  I asked her if we knew each other and she said that we did not.  She explained that she obtained my information by referral, meaning, someone I knew gave her my information.  The call was concerning the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Who owns this number?

Someone left me a voice mail message from this number (told receptionist they were with fire dept) and stated they had good news for me. Guessing they are trying to raise funds.

Was told I was nominated for a community event - my guess is it's the MDA lockup or something similar to raise money

Call came in as "unknown" on the caller ID. Left message about an upcoming event in Gahanna they want me to attend.  Acted like she knew me personally on the voice mail.  Susan Hewitt.  Never heard of her.
