Call HR at the Board of Metro Nashville Public Schools.  It's not just substitute teachers, it's teachers, parents... The school district has thousands of students and employees, that many people, and people switching numbers as often as they do, is how so many numbers get on their list.

Metro (Nasville) Public Schools System has a call program for their substitute teachers. Subs load their profiles and contact information into the system so that they can be called for teaching openings. The system makes automated calls when a teacher calls out and if the sub picks up, they have the chance to accept the opening that day. Someone must have entered your number by mistake as the system only calls the numbers a sub programs in as their contact number. Some poor sap is probably worry about why he/she isn't getting any job assignments. Well, it is because they put in the wrong contact info.

Call that high school and ask them to look it up and delete it from their call out system. Tell them you don't have a kid there. They should be able to help.

This is Metro (Nasville) Public Schools announcement "service". Some student has listed your number as a contact number so they are calling you with alerts and other "information".

I have the same problem. This number calls my phone almost obsessively. A machine always leaves voice mails of recordings. It's really annoying. I have never even heard of that High school and the messages say "your child." I am not even old enough to have a kid old enough to be in high school. The messages won't quit.

This number just called and it was some recording with a woman's voice speaking in some foreign language, maybe Chinese or something. (Didn't sound Spanish or French at least, and sure as heck was not English.)  ID read "Metro Govt of N" -- schools are letting out 2 hours early due to impending snow. I already know and have received calls from Metro and my teen's high school about the early dismissal today. Usually the only updates and info calls we get are from the principal or PTO at the school, and sometimes (like today) from the district. Never got one of these weird calls before today. Hope I never get another. I guess someone at Metro Nashville Schools thinks we're non-English-speaking Asians. Either that or the weather "threat" has things so crazy that it's getting all mixed up in the system. We Nashvillians go a little nuts when it snows after all. LOL

PS  To clarify: I have no clue exactly what the call was about since I could barely understand a word of it except a few times sounded like "city bus"?? Just assuming it had something to do with the fact school's letting out early today.
