Last chance to lower my credit card int. rate? That means I won't be getting any more calls, right?

I've gotten two of these just today. I told them the first time not to call me again, this time I hung up as soon as I heard the machine and it immediately called back. Next time I'm going old school. Big, loud police whistle in their ear after I get them on the line. Just like we did in the old days for crank calls. I will be reporting them for all the good that does.

I wish I had a quarter for every time a robo call voice said "...this is your second and final warning..." This one's so stupid, yet people fall for it. Don't answer your phone, people, if you don't recognize the number.

"<female voice>This is an important message about your current credit card account. This is your second and final notice to lower your credit card interest rate and payments. Press 1 now to find out the terms, conditions and associated changes before the next billing cycle. Again, this is your final notice as it relates to the financial stimulus. So press 1 now to take advantage of this today."

recording about lowering rates

Robocaller...which I believe is illegal.  Something about my last chance to lower my interest rates on my credit card due to the stimulus?!?!?!?!.....huh?????  I don't have a credit card so it's a no brainer that this is a scam.  These idiots don't even have their information correct!

Just got a call from 616.613.2199.  I noticed the area code and did not answer and no answer was left on my answering system.

This company calls numbers on the do not call registry (illegal) with a recorded message and no operator on the line when the call is answered (illegal) and when you get to an operator, if you ask them for their non-toll-free phone number or physical address (which they are required to provide when asked) they hang up. Their recording states that this is your last chance to lower your interest rates and lower your payments. They just want your credit card information so they can rip you off. If their illegal activity did not make it absolutely clear that this was a scam, the content of the message definitely should!

I have no credit cards to speak of, but yet they want to lower my interest rate. They always leave a message, they have so many different phone no. I never answer. They tell me this is my second and last message.... I wished. I just want it to stop or the devil is going to get them.

Similar thing happened to me--asked they not contact me again and the customer service response was "and what are you going to do if we do?" then hung up.

I received call from "Lower Interest".  I have no idea why my phone number was called since my phone number is listed on the DO NOT CALL Registry.

I have receive these bank card services phone calls about 100 times when you report them to the FCC and NOT to Do Not Call they send an email back and say they will investigate and that if you continue to receive calls they will set it up so that the company owes you $1500 per call.But the problem is, these companies change their numbers so often you can't get them to stop. My phone service said the same thing, they said these numbers were not really dedicated phone numbers or are set up from overseas and there is nothing thy can do, because even if the come from the US by the time they get to them they have changed to another number. I do not know why there is not a government agency that can stop this stuff.

This may not help landline users, but what I started to do about a year ago was to create a DoNotAnswer contact in my cellphone and every time a new phone number arrives (like this one did at 11:33pm last night my local time), I simply add them to the contact so I never get burned by the same phone number more than once.  Works great and I now have about a hundred phone numbers attached to my DoNotAnswer contacts.

I continually get these calls on my cell phone (which I use for business, and Yes...I DO have to answer in case it is a prospect or a customer) which is not only a pain in the a** but also expensive as I do a lot of overseas travel and these calls cost about $1.50 per minute to my business.  If you multiply the amount of calls received by the millions of sales employees doing business on a company phone you can see that it does adds up quickly.  Would love to see someone start a class action lawsuit on these scammers....

I receive calls from card services from a variety of numbers. I use Magic Jack for my long distance calls - 616-613-2199 is a conference bridge line sold by ZEELAND Michigan, LUCRE, INC., CLEC. Magic Jack will not deliver calls to a conference bridge line (requires prepaid minutes) the pre-paid minutes are in addition to the paid up annual fees already paid. Chances are the number is being place by someone outside of the United States. All of my numbers are on the Do Not Call list through 2 federal and one state agency. The $10,000.00 fine for calling DNC numbers is not being enforced strongly enough. The fines should be enforceable through any one that calls regardless of which country the call originates from.

I got this also and it was about lowering interest on credit cards.  Calls me quite often. Infuriates me.  Scam.

I get these stupid calls every week, and every week I spend about 30 minutes of some poor smucks time going through all the movements, giving them phony credit card numbers and having them "hold on for a second" so many times. It's fun!  Imagine if every person they called did this.  They would not make any money because that few pennies they get per call would be nothing compared to the 4 bucks they pay for 30 minutes of some morons time. I just keep hoping a hot sounding girl will call so I can try my best pickup lines on her.

Recording, lower your credit card interest rate...last chance! (I wish)

Received this call on Saturday today at 3:39 pm. I called it back, you get a recording, press 1 for so and so and on and on. I did press 2 for do not call but this want stop them. I know it has to be a scam, they know we are elderly probably and have no sense. Well I got news for them, I do know lots of Congressmen and if it keeps up hopeully? they might help me. I doubt it though because they are all crooks in my opinion too.

I  got a call from this exact number and on the caller ID it said BANK CARD SVCS. I didnt answer checked my bank everything is in place so I decided to google this number and this is where it took me. Scammers....

Identity Theft Attempt.

Yeah, got the usual:  Robo message stating "this is your last chance to lower your interest rate on your credit cards, blah, blah, blah".  I hit "1" to talk to a representative and when he answered, he immediately asked if I wanted to lower my interest rates.  I told him, "No, we are Mennonite and do not have any credit cards."  After a long pause, he hung up.  The next time, I'm telling them I'm in the Amish Mafia.

fcc sucks. no call list not working

I pressed 1 to talk to a representative, since pressing 2 to be removed OBVIOUSLY hasn't done much good! and when I did "Steven" hung up on me as SOON AS I ASKED what company is this?? WHAT KIND OF SCAM can't even give you their FAKE name? ? ? This is probably CRIMINAL ! and they should be shut down or arrested !

I really wished that someone would place explosive pressure cookers at these b*****d prankster callers so they can waste time mending to their wounds. I don't have time or patience for this BS!

616-613-2199 called on 4/25/13 at lunch time.  Their called ID is spoofed as V04251230070021.  For what it is worth I reported to DNC.
