Relax people.  Nobody likes these calls, but until congress changes the laws they will come.  Just be glad the democrats havn't figured a way to automatically reverse the charges.  I am sure the taxocrats will find a way to charge only those who have a job to pay for them.  By the way my house was appreciating, businesses were coming to Michigan, and unemployement was a lot better when Engler was Govenor.  In five years we will all be blown away.

UPDATE! I spoke with someone at the Michigan Republican Party, and they are swearing it is not them making the calls, nor is it someone they've hired.

The company that is making the calls is Strategic National, and you can reach their offices by calling 616-301-3100.

I intend to leave a message for them every time I miss their call.

Your other recourse is to file a complaint with the Michigan Attorney General's Office, which I have already done. There's power in numbers.

Getting calls from this number on a daily basis.  No one there when I answer.

This number of 616-827-7054 shows as a "Public Survey" on the caller ID.   They have been calling me 2 or 3 times everyday.  When I answer there is never anyone there - just clicks and noises and then it disconnects.   I did the star 69 to get the phone number and called them back to ask them to please stop calling me but I only get a recording that "this number does not accept calls".    I am already registered on the donotcall registry but I registered again today in case my old "do not call" has expired.  I want these calls to stop.  I think the name of "Public Survey" is a fake name anyway.   Regardless, I do not want to take any survey.  I am not afiliated with any political organization.   I consider these calls to be a harrassment. I went to the DoNotCall.gov and registered a complaint today on their website..  I urge others to take two moments and do the same.  It was easy to do and maybe it will do some good.  Thank you.

These calls have been linked by the Michigan GOP to a political consulting firm "Strategic National" at 616-301-3100.  I call them every time they call me.

How do they get these numbers.  I want off the calling list.

I have been getting calls from (616)827-7054 every day, and sometimes two or three times a day.  If I answer, no one is there.  If I call back, I get a busy signal.  This is getting frustrating.  I am also on the "do not call" list, but it hasn't been of any help lately.

Have been receiving one to two calls from this number for a few weeks now. So annoying!

I have comcast and this is something I didn't know was available.  I'm going to proceed next time I get this call!  If you don't have Comcast maybe you should see if your phone company also offers this service.  Maybe if we all do this that gets this phone call it will do something finally!

If you press an number other than the choices they give, it just repeats the question. I kept this up for an hour to block their line before I hung up. If everyone does this, it will ruin their efficiency or force them to get a better system.

This was a telephone poll asking responses for the Michigan Republican governor's primary. It was a robocall, all of which are DOA at my house.

Go to DoNotCall.gov and file a complaint. Takes about 2 minutes. Mention that it's an automated robocall with a recording, or a hang up, with no opportunity to request they stop calling.

As for Mike Cox, he's arrogant enough to believe that no one will find out about his attendance at Kwame Kilpatrick's "Manoogian party that never happened." He was there, a 'dancer' who attended was later murdered, and everyone else denies the party ever occurred.

As for Engler's legacy, his plan to 'reform' school financing has led to Michigan schools' death spiral, especially the best schools in the state (who are hit even worse than the rest). The joke at the time was, "Engler has no children, and he hates yours." Later, his wife had triplets, and he left the state to take the first actual job he had ever had in his life.

The first time, I hung up after hearing the choices, as I realized that choosing one would only prompt a barrage of calls from another candidate.

They keep calling but they hang up when I answer. That means they're not only prixx who don't know how to take 'no' for an answer, but have inadequate equipment, as well.

Unfortunately, Congress exempted these 'survey' calls from the Do Not Call legislation, so they're legal. Grand Rapids is a hotbed for conservative Repuglicans in Michigan, so they've obviously thrown a juicy  contract to one of their buddies. Portent of things to come . . .

As far as harassment, yes, if they call and hang up, that could qualify as harassment. Contact your local police department and charge them.

I get calls from 6168277054 on a daily basis, and there is no one on the line. They sometimes call more than once a day.  This is very irritating and has to stop.  It's been going on for over 2 months.  I do believe the Republican Party has something to do with this, because I completed a Republican Party survey about three months ago, and gave them a failing grade.

It's disgusting to get these calls on my cell phone and it goes on and on.  If it's political I will certainly not vote for them.  It's from the Michigan Republican governor's primary.  I do not want these calls.  And if it's from Mike Cox, I will not vote for him, and I know him.  This is wrong to take up my minutes.

Robo-call on Memorial Day from Repuglican @$$holes of Michigan, no chance to opt-out, no answer on callback.

I get calls from this number everyday. I'm on the do not call list. I wrote to the atty. gen. office in hopes that they can get these calls to stop. No one is there when you pick up the phone. And when you dial that number the call does not go through. I wish they'd leave me alone. If there from the GOP of Michigan. I will not vote for any member  of the GOP.
