Caller offers to reduce interest rates on unsecured debt, then asks for balances and the names of account holders, and interest rates on accounts.

These people keep calling my CELL phone about some credit card nonsense. When I ask them to take me off of their list they hang up on me.

I have also received numerous calls from this person. I finally looked up the company that provides for them. The carrier is called Lucre, Inc & is located at 4011 Plainfield Ave. N.E. in Grand Rapids MI 49525. There telephone number is 616-361-0128. I am going to call them because someone needs to be help accountable for this.

The number they call from is 616-980-2589 if you get a call from this number don't answer because it a bunch of bull crap calling trying to scam somebody I want to find out where it is coming from so I can give them a piece of my mind .

They call my cellphone at school and I don't even known why or who they is.

These criminal telemarketers illegally leave fake information on your Caller ID.  The only way to stop them from calling you again and again (using different spoofed Caller ID info each time) is to report them using their real identities.  Information on how to do this can be found at the only web site whose focus is to do just that:  www.heatherwithaccountservices.com.

Keep getting calls from this #. Though now they have changed their caller ID readout to show "CALL" and nothing else. I guess that qualifies as clever to these people.

I receive calls from this number all the time, same stories as above; constant calls no message.  I just looked up the process for "call blocking" from my telephone provider so I'll see if that works.  They have several numbers so it may take a few trys but it's worth it not to answer 5 messages on my recorder and have 4 hang up calls.

I don't know who this is they leave no message and no Vm is set up.

Just received a phone call from this number in regards to lowering my interest rates on credit cards.  THey could not provide further information as to which credit card it was, and the recording assured there was nothing wrong with my credit card.  However, they offered to press one to lower the rate.  So me - being the fool that I am, pressed one to see what would happen.  A woman named Tonya answered and said "Hi, my name is Tonya, did you press one to lower your interest rate?"  I said no, and she replied "THen what are you pressing one for?"  I then asked, "How did you get my number?"  She then said, "don't be pressing one to ask me that" and then hung up.  Bogus.

This number keeps calling my cell phone every few days with an automated voice message about some bogus credit account I do not have, nor want to have. I want this to stop.

Best thing to do is Ignore any type of calls that you don't recognized. I've been having different calls every week w/ different area codes & I did I research on these callers (THEY ARE SCAMS) Don't even bother to return the calls &/or see who's calling you.

I just received a call from 616-980-2589. I do not answer calls if I don't recognize the number. I google & try reverse phone lookup for details. I agree it is not a good idea to answer any call from a number you are not familiar with and never give out ANY personal information about yourself unless you have solicited/requested that the caller contact you, you know who is calling i.e. your bank, employer, etc. you have VERIFIABLE identification info for the caller: name, address, phone number, i.d./reference number the reason why your info is needed, how they got your number. Ask the caller for all their info, do not give out your own, tell them you may contact them back after you have thouroughly investigated what they have told you to be legitamate & accurate. These calls are almost always SCAMS!!! BE CAREFUL!!!

Received a call from this number at 11:00 am CST on my cell and they left no message. Keep your postings coming and do not answer these as they are usually scams. You are wasting minutes if you answer. I always google numbers I do not know and this is the second call this week but with a different area code. Read similar postings about that number as well.

NO one answered my cell when they called and didn't leave a message.  I tried returning the call and it said the number was temporarily unavailable.

I keep getting the same type of call from numbers like this who offer lower interest rates on credit cards then want to know you balance and name of account holder.  When I ask to be taken off their calling list they just hang up on me.
