This is a legitimate organization based out of Boston, MA. The main number for the center itself is 617 371-1800 -- http://www.nechv.org/ -- a good place which helps veterans get jobs and get or keep housing. I think if the callers are rude, be sure to let somebody know. I believe the rule of thumb is that if you've donated in the past, they are allowed to call until or unless you ask to be removed from their list.

I have received at least 8 calls from this number.  They are telemarketers collection money for the New England Veterans center.  Six of the times, they did not leave a message and the other two times, they hung up when I picked up the phone.

Call at 5:41 p.m. Caller I.D. showed 617-371-1801. Did not recognize so did not pick up. No message left. Prior reply states could be New England Home for Homeless Veterans. Maybe so. I've donated to the home, but you'd think a message would be left.

I am guessing it is New England Home for Homeless Veterens.  Dropping the 1 and calling 617 371 1800 gets their main line

Here's what I got when I called the number:  "Announcement not recorded, please disconnect"
They keep calling!!!

Call at 5:09 pm. Caller I.D. read 617-371-1801. Did not answer. No message. Supposed to be a land line. Have received several calls from this number recently.

Just received the call from this number a few minutes ago. The guy on the phone is kinda rude. This is a marketing call.

No one is on the line.

On the 4th of July 2010

I've had several calls from 617-371-1801 and they never leave a message.  Pain

Received a call today at 12:49 pm, male asked for my husband, when I said not available he hung up.
