You called and woke up my very ill husband and when I changed phones you told me  that I was rude.  I have rarely been as angry with a phone call to bother to find out where it came from. you are ignorant and rude.

Calls me 4 times a day!!!!! When I answer there is nothing! Try to call back and it is busy! How do I make it stop!

Calls from 617-405-5034, are from the Boston Herald Newspaper.  Most likely it is a third party vendor calling on behalf of the Herald.  Dialing is by a computer, and you need to say hello a couple of times before a person responds.
I suggest that you report these calls to WWW.DONOTCAL.GOV

number call all day, when I answer the phone, they HANG up, when I call them back get a busy signal it's pretty annoying... just want them to STOP calling.

Hi you wouldn't believe it . This number has been  calling the house for days and nights . They called me three times. This morning .Same thing just tried and it is busy busy busy . Just googled it and lo and behold I see others are also being haunted by the number :1617 405 5034 !! Within seconds after reading everyone's comments , they called !!! It was the BOSTON  HERALD !!! How desperate are they ?? Needless to say I didn't subscribe ...

called me today, i answered, no one at the other side.

I just got a call from these guys too, and didnt pick up. It was Circulation on my caller ID too.
I called them back using Skype and it rang twice then nothing.

Seems like when I get these and similar calls, I call them back using Skype or a blocked number, and dont get any more from them.
This goes for some other annoying numbers too.

Thank god for caller ID!  We never pick up for anyone we dont know the number for, and if it does turn out to be a friend with a different number, they can leave a message and they do.  If they dont, then the heck with them.

Answered the phone and it was a solication for the Brockton Enterprise.  They said the name they have lsited for my phone was for someone named Dorothy Green.  Yeah right!  I told them I am not Dorothy and get all my subscriptions online!

He just called and was trying to get us to renew our subscription with the Boston Herald.  Very rude and the phone rings busy when I tried back.  I did call the Herald and reported the number to them.

received a phone call from 617-405-5034-no message-tried to call the number back-busy signal.  I did get a call from the patriot ledger a couple of weeks ago and told them I was not interested and to put me on their do not call list-so much for that.

Got a call from 617-405-5034 which came through as "Circulation" on my caller ID. They left me a very strange message a few weeks ago. A male voice whispered, "Store light number one," and hung up. What kind of a crazy message is that? Now another poster said that they had spoken to someone at this number who said they were selling the Boston Enterprise. That poster also said there is a Brockton Enterprise but not one for Boston. As it turns out 7/13/11 I was awakened to a caller from the Brockton Enterprise who called from this number as well. She hung up on me when I told her to take me off the calling list. Note: I live about 45 minutes from Brockton and so getting its newspaper would be ridiculous. It sounds to me like this number is for some telemarketers who are selling maybe a few different newspapers. But maybe they are bored and are leaving some crazy messages to entertain themselves at out expense.

Called my cell and the when I tried calling back all I got was a fast busy signal as well. Last week I  discontinued a subscription for my Dad with the Boston Herald and from all the other complaints it could have something to do with print media and circulation lists. I am on a "Do Not Call List" as well. I am going to try to report the number.

Keeps calling my Cell phone but does not leave a message.  When a call the # back I get a fast busy signal.  The call my phone about once a day.

It's a company on Hancock st in Quincy ma, they hire people for 8 dollars an hour to call and try to sell people newspapers. I had a "friend" who worked there and did him a favor and subscribed to the ledger through him, now he no longer works there and a year later I still get 3 calls a day from them, I'm about to show up there and flip out since I can't complain over the phone because you can't call back. I wish I knew the exact address because I'd give it to you but it's on Hancock st in Quincy about a half mile from the Quincy center t station.

617-405-5034,I have been getting 4/5 calls per day from this number,it is the Boston hearld home delivery sales dept.I was a former customer (a few times) and about 2 months ago they called and tried to get me to start home delivey again and I told the guy I have had it with the paper not getting delivered half the time and I buy it at the store every morning.His response was I'm paying to much and my response was I dont mind paying the extra money,and he replied 'it must be nice having money' and hung up on me. I am about to go down there a beat his f****ng skull in.

Came up on mine as "circulation", calls often. If you're not getting a regular number calling it back it may be an extension line.

I got a call this morning and the person did not speak just coughed in my ear and never said sorry and hung up.  I tried to call this # back and not such number.
