they wont stop calling me..........god damnit

They call on my cell phone and run up my minutes.

This number called my cell phone. I did not pick up but checked online and read all of the reports on this number. I have my cell and home phones registered on the gov do not call list but that does not stop telemarketers calling :(

I got a call from 617.453.0700 Cambridge MA number .  When I answered I waited a couple seconds before saying anything since I didn't recognize the number and no one said anything.  Before I could say hello I was disconnected or hung up on.

I just received two calls today from them.  I am located in Minnesota.  I have not picked up and no message is left.  No messages were left calls were at 12:33 pm and 3:27 pm.  Not sure what it is but looks like they have been at this for a while.

Those of you on the "Do Not Call" list who keep getting calls from these ridiculous people . . . these are "robo-calls."  A computer just dials numbers in sequence until they get someone to answer.  For example, 555.556.1234 doesn't answer so the computer dials 555.556.1235 and so on . . . like in the movie War Games.  If you don't recognize a number, don't answer it.  Look it up here.  If it's spam, save it in your contacts as spam (number them: Spam1, Spam2, etc.).  Then, when one of these numbers calls you again, it shows up as Spam and you just click your ignore button.

Dan from GE Security,told him I was on do not call list he started a smart-a** remark I hung up.

"Dan" called my cell phone yesterday evening, using my last name.  I said something extremely ugly and un-ladylike, and it just responded "OK", then when I said not to call me again, it disconnected.

Just got a call.  I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.

Just got the call today on work cell. Now that i know it's telemarketers I will have fun.  I love to F... with them it's fun I always win. You should try it it's great fun.

Just rcvd a call from 617-453-0700.  Did not recognize number, so did not answer.  They left no message.  I am in Texas.  They called my Verizon cell number.

Just called an no message.  Tried to call it back after reading your responses, and all I got was a busy signal.

verizon allows you to block up to 6 numbers for 60 or 90 days at a time.

Called and I did not answer.  We really should be able to BLOCk these calls from our phones.  Any ideas?

Called me twice within 1 1/2 hours!  Just blocked them and hope that helps.

And another thing, seriously folks, would you really tell a stranger if you had a home security system? How stupid would that be. Could be a phishing scam. Be careful

P.S. by the way; since we have recorded their telephone numbers that they called us from we then blocked that number. About 3 weeks later, each and every time, they would then call from a different number and of course catch us off guard.

10/4/2012  Lets go back to last year, seriously. We have had over 35 calls from this company on our home phone and cell phone in Boston, MA. Dan answers and sounds real but it is a recording. We have told them many times we don't own a home for a home security system. The calls got so bad we started logging all the telephone numbers from out of state. They usually stop for a month and then get a new telephone number to call you. It's been about a 2/3 month break and finally they started again with the new local number 617-453-0700 a week ago and then again tonight. Since we have told them verbally at least 6 times we are not interested in their service when they have called from different telephone numbers; now this is harrasement and we are very angry. Since the call center reps they are hiring are not doing their job by recording responses (maybe getting paid by the amount of calls they make?) we will pursue this and I urge others to complain. Once earlier this year we strunge them along to find out where their company was located and rep said CA, he believed. I asked why was a California company selling home security in Massachusetts and were they licensed in MA...he hung up. LOL...doesn't even know what they are trying to sell. We are so pissed-off we will definately be calling the Attorney General's Office. And we are so angry that we are actually considering making an appointment to see what company responds (don't know actual owners) and then going to their office giving them info about how bad it has been; and threatening to sue and calling the FCC or phone regulators to inform them about their misuse and harrasement. Oh, and both our home phone and cell phones are unlisted. Doesn't matter because they use automated computer callers I presume. We have just had it. I'm sure there are hundreds others with the same issue and I hope you all call your Attorney General to complain about them.

Keep getting calls from this number no message left.

Got a call just now, Dan from GE home security.  Annoying as all since I already have a security system and don't care for a 2nd.

Called my cell phone and I hung up on "dan".  Do not call list is completely useless.

There's no actual person on the other line. It's just a recorded message from "Dan" from "GE Home Security" asking "how are you today?"

Just got a call from them.  Did not answer.  I do not answer any calls from people / numbers that I do not know.  If it's important, they will leave a voice mail and I can call them right back.

Just a sales pitch. I stopped talking and just let him ramble on and then listened to him keep asking for me.. Eventually he hung up.

I told him I was on the "Do Not Call" list and asked why he was calling. He hung up.

Remember then the DnC list worked. It's a shame so many tax dollars spent to build another useless system.

Just got call.  No MSG. Glad I checked this site.  Now I can just ignore it with peace of mind.
DNC is only effective for companies cold calling you out fo the blue.  If they got your number from another company you already do business with or as a subsidiary of said company unfortunately your only recourse is to request them to remove you from their list.  Even that is only 10 percent effective.  I only wish my Windows Phone had the capability to block list.

Want these calls to stop!!  I am on a DNC list and these people are still getting through

don't know who called me from this number, but they need to stop.  if it is legitimate, leave a message.
