Who the hell is this person and why are they calling me 6 times a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make it stop... Please.

Yea they have called me three time I have never answered

Guy called and was trying to sell me cable service very cheap like 9.99 for a whole yr said he was with the dish network but got very irate when i refused to give him my credit card.

said i would just pay 9.99 and that was it for the entire year and they would bring out the dish to "hang" it on the side of my house just like my "naybore". He said i would get 45 channels.

This "company" is definitely calling via Skype, although it is a local number.  What can we do about this?  It keeps calling my cell phone...

i was looking for a kitten and i gave some one my number in an email  they said they live in victorian islands cameroon  but when the number called it said cambridge mass and they are from africa and when i tried to call it back it said this number is not taking incoming calls

no voice message and if you call back they dont answer. I just dont answer it ...if it was important they'd leave a message.

It's a number that Skype (and perhaps other VOIP Companies) use.
It's that simple folks, It could be anyone!

I got a call from this 1 617-588-0005; it's a number that will sometimes take the place of an "unknown" or "blocked" number; it mostly happens when the calls are long distance. The caller may not even know this number shows as theirs. In my case a friend called me from overseas... I missed all 5 calls but the 3rd call registered as 1 617-588-0005

Keeps calling repeatedly, nights, mornings, followed by a call from numer 140248584 (not enough digits, wierd)

well ..  I got a call from 617-588-0005 on my cell and didn't pick up. Voicemail came through. I am still laughing at the message. The person wasn't aware that it went into my voicemail and ripped a long fart!! I wish I could send the voicemail here!

started getting calls from this number this am starting at 6 am. And absolute silence on other line.  Got two more calls since then. The %%&^%%^ holes.

I received a phone call from 617 588 0005 today saying the government wants to give me $6.200,00 because they collected too much taxes last year. He told me all I had to do was go to the nearest Western Union, he knew my first and last name and where I lived. He started asking me if I lived close to "Jimmi's Supermarket" or "Rite Aid" because there are Western Union Agencies there, and said I had to go there today to get this money. He said the reason for the Federal Government to be sending this money via Western Union was because they don't want to leave a paper trail, because only a few selected people are going to receive this money, and he added that he would not ask me for any personal information, all I had to do is go there. I told him I wasn't going anywhere because I had no proof this money was even going to be there and asked what was his name, he said John Smith, to which I replied "Wow, that's a really common name isn't it? Where are you calling from?" and he said NY, so I said, where in NY and he got all lost and kept saying the Federal Government. He then said he is going to be calling me back on Friday and hung up on me. VERY SHADY...And of course, he sounded very indian and I could not call the number back.

These guys are a piece of work!!!  They have been telling me the same thing which I owe them $1,000 and that the police is coming to arrest me they will see my ugly in court!  These people need to be stopped!

This number called me at 5AM, woke me up but I did not pick it up. Seems like people will start receiving calls from this number again.

Rather than 150 posts each saying the same thing about how they called you, how about somebody posts a possible *solution*?

This number keeps calling my cell phone. When I called it back it says they aren't accepting calls at this time. I am on the Do Not Call List but continue to get these harassing calls. How do I make them stop?

i don’t have a solution but oddly enough a family member from oversees called me today and both the 617-588-0005 and 662-569-2421 numbers came up. so it could be legit people using a special discount code or obviously scammers from oversees.

I just got a call from this number too but missed it. I live in Boston and it was a callfrom Cambridge. What the heck??
