Just went to www.fcc.gov & the website is down due to the federal shutdown. Awesome! Now we can't report the number on the do not call list.

Received calls from thus number for the past week. At least the past five nights usually around 8:30pm CST. Never answer bc I'm busy with kids, but they never leave a VM. My husband and I have two credit cards but both are paid off. I tried calling the number back, & some gal answered. I hung up bc I thought it might be a personal phone, but right when I hung up, the gal said "thank you for calling..." so not really sure whats going on but I'm going to try to answer it if they call again. Never give out you're personal info over the phone unless you know for a fact you are calling YOUR credit card company!!!

Received a call on my cell from 407-702-0538.  When I called back the number a recorded message said it was a non-working phone number?

I have received 3 calls from various numbers including this one - all with the same recorded message.  "This is your second and final notice to lower your finance charge on your credit card to as little as 6.9%.  Please press one to speak to a customer service agent to get started."  The second and third call I did press 1 and asked to speak to a manager.  (I wanted to make sure someone wasn't using my name for a credit card.)  Each time I was hung up on.

If you have your mobile number listed on your facebook account, then you give apps/games access to your profile, they can grab anything they want. That's most likely the culprit of the unwanted calls. I allow no apps and do not have my number listed in my profile.

I downloaded a game onto my Droid last week and started getting these calls this week.  One from this #.  Called back and said # no longer in service.  Don't know if it's related, but since you brought it up....

I was called by this number, did not answer, since I did not know who it was, now, reading all your posts, I will file a complaint against them on the FCC's Do Not Call List, it is the best way to stop the calls, since they will be fined.

When answered phone call and press 1 to speak to a person, I got the words out this is a convenience store and they hung up on me. When I tried to call back repeatedly they disconnected my call.

They just called my cell phone. I didn't answer because I didn't hear it ring on time. They left no message.

Received a call from 618-248-2448 on my cell phone.  They did not leave a message. Called the number right back got a disconnected recording.

My cell phone number is on the national "do not call" list.

booked a hotel room on priceline.com and 2 hrs. later got a call from this number  didn't answer it out of state and looked strange

it was a call to reduce your credit card interest ... I clicked "1" to talk to someone and when I requested to be put on their do not call list they hung up

I got a call from this number, I didn't recognize it, so I didn't answer it.  They did not leave a message.  Third suspicious call in as many days, all different numbers, all scams when I looked them up via Google.  Be careful out there.

I got a call from that #, but any time that I receive unknown calls I do not pick them up. I am glad I did not after reading this post.

They called my cell phone, which has been on the Do Not Call List for years, at 4:58PM today. I did not answer and they did not leave a message.

Thank you for all your comments.  I received a call this afternoon from this number.  It went to missed calls since I did not recognize it.

I answered, no one there. I'm so sick of sales calls I'm about ready to quit using cell phones.

I have blocked the number on my cell phone.  Since I am out of work and have been appling to jobs on line seems I have been getting these scam calls.  Creeps me out!

I already reported the first number that gave me this message to the FCC. Now I get it again two days later from this number. I absolutely know this is a scam because I don't own any credit cards. My guess is they either find or randomly generate these numbers and keep the ones that work. Since they are not legit telemarketers, they will not obey the No Call list. The best thing to do is to report the number to the FCC if you pick up and get the automated credit card bill message. They have a very simple online form to fill out.

This is the second call like this today (first one came from a number in TN).  I have not answered either one.  No voice message -- must not be important.

Here's a tip:

Next time they call, don't answer.  After the call ends, add them to your phone book with the name of Scam.  Next time they call, that is what will display on your caller ID.

It's an auto-dialer.  They are trying to offer some sort of debt consolidation, reduce credit card payments, all that usual b.s.  It was an automated message that I received.

They just called me, didn't answer since I didn't know the number.  Glad I read all of your posts!
